This is a myth. They paid 22 million, and the "deal" reported on SkySports was including the wages in his contract.

The thing was that none of the top teams in Europe made any concrete offers, there was a small amount of interest in Fernandinho from Man Utd and ourselves and in Navas from Real, but no offers were made. City walked it.

I never said he was world class! I said he is (currently) a better player than Schurrle, which he is. And I disagree that he is more usefull than Navas as I think Navas is the type of player who would be perfect on our right hand side (alternating with Oscar)

Sorry, but Navas is not on the same level as Schurrle. He is far better. But, Schurrle is you and could develop into a very nice player indeed.
