  1. Nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Racism is about discriminating against people of a certain RACE. Racism has nothing to do with a person's gender. Yes, a misogynist can be a racist, as well, but the two are not one and the same.
  2. I dislike Eva does that make me a misogynist? To dislike a woman is now to be misogynist, is that it? To bring racism into this is disgusting. Even if misogyny is occurring in this forum, is that now the same as racism? Put your brain in gear before you post from now on, okay?
  3. Oh, he'll be back...but not this soon, lol (it would be kinda crazy). I think he'll come back to the Bridge in around 10 to 15 years from now (probably his last port of call before retirement).
  4. I don't miss Jose the manager...but I do miss Jose the man.
  5. Well, it was one of my great aunt's favourite songs, actually. She loved Carousel. Unfortunately, Liverpool's close connection with the song have always slightly soured it for me, to be honest.
  6. I secretly love the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" (although I'll never admit it to my Liverpool supporting Grandfather).
  7. Oh, blah di blah di blah. They're supposed to be PROFESSIONALS! I don't care how they feel about Jose, that's no excuse for not giving 110% for the club. My club! Jose's outburst and our players petty dislike for him have cost us dearly this season... I can honestly say at this moment I don't give a damn about Jose or the bloody players.
  8. I do recognise this but I disagree fully with Freud. His attention was focused solely upon sex. I stand with Jung who disagreed with Oedipal impulses. The relationship between mother and child is based on love and protection, nothing more. My attraction to Julia Roberts is irrelevant to Freud's theory of the Oedipus complex. To draw connections between the two is a case of over-analysing things, in my opinion (even Freud admitted that "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"). If I must delve into self-analysis then try looking at it from a Jungian perspective. For instance, perhaps a younger man's attraction to an older woman is simply an attraction to the Earth Mother archtype, which is present in many cultures around the world and doesn't just assume a direct connection to incest... Frankly, though, I think the Oedipus theory was Freud's projection of his own inner demons and his way of bringing attention to his work (and psychoanalysis in general) by giving it shock value.
  9. I'm a Jungian not a Freudian.
  10. Ooh, I've definitely touched a nerve, haven't I? Why did I say it was bullsh*t? Because it was (in my opinion). And I only referred to my affection for Julia because it was relevant to the discussion, that many men around my age are attracted to well preserved, older women. The truth is that most men of Eden's age would find women like Eva to be attractive, ergo the thought of Eden thinking of her as a mother is pure nonsense. Why is that so hard for you to understand, my friend?... Oh, and by the way, it's Erin Brockovich.
  11. Look, pal, you need to reread my post. I never said anything about the two of them having a sexual relationship or anything of the sort. In fact, what I said isn't about Eva at all, really. This is about how Eden would view Eva. I'm only saying that the notion of him thinking of an attractive, youthful looking woman like Eva as a mother is utterly preposterous, that's all. And who are you to comment on my 'lack of life'. You know nothing about me, bud. If you must know I'm studying to be a psychotherapist. What's your chosen path in life, I wonder? To be a specialist in ad hominem?
  12. Bullsh*t! Pure and utter bullsh*t! I'm 21 and trust me, if I knew Eva I certainly wouldn't be looking for a 'motherly relationship' with her, lol. I don't give a damn about her age. My celebrity crush is (and has always been) Julia Roberts, for God's sake!... I don't know, maybe I just like older women or something, lol. But I'm not alone on this. I bet A LOT of other guys my age wouldn't say no to Eva (or to Julia, for that matter).
  13. YES (except for that bit about Roman selling the club)!
  14. I'm not saying that we will be relegated (I can see us finishing mid table), I'm just dead set against firing Jose... I mean, even if we did fire him, who could we bring in? Carlo? I doubt that he'd want to come back after the shabby way he was treated by Roman before.
  15. My sentiments exactly. I've only been a Chelsea supporter since 2006 (I was too young to really appreciate football before then), but I'd gladly see us go down to the Championship if it means keeping Jose as our manager. We need stability at this club. Bowing time and time again to player power is not the way forward. I say we should stand by our manager...no matter the cost.
  16. Rumors are abound that Drogba could be returning here to help boost morale in the dressing room until the new MLS season starts in January (he could even be allowed to play for us if Montreal allow it). While I'd (obviously) be happy to see the big man return, I can't help but think that, if true, the whole thing stinks of desperation.
  17. I don't think Jose's gonna reach the January window. In fact, I'm worried that he'll be gone before our next match.
  18. While I (kinda) understand what you're saying, you seem to be missing the overall point here. The thing is, we shouldn't be needing help from the referee. We should be whacking some of the teams we've dropped points to this year 3 or 4 nil (Southampton, Newcastle, West Ham, Crystal Palace, etc, etc).
  19. Well, another weekend and another defeat. Almost getting predictable now, isn't it? Quite frankly, guys, I'm genuinely worried for the future of this club. Something has gone badly wrong.. I hate to be a ''Debbier Downer'', but somebody has to say it as it is.. This is no longer just a blip. This is turning into a major, major problem. The real thing that frustrates me more than anything else is that most fans seem to have settled for a mid table finish. I mean, what the hell!? We're the Champions of England for God's sake! We shouldn't even be contemplating a mid table finish. I couldn't believe my eyes today when I read one post on here that seemed to glorify finishing in between 10th and 15th place... The truth is, we have to turn and corner and fast. So, how do we achieve that?.. Sacking Jose? Would that help? I doubt it. Because the truth is he's still the best man for the job, and I truly believe that the vast majority of the players have no problem with him... So, the question remains, what do we do to improve? It's not as though we can clear out all the under performing players, as that way we wouldn't even have enough men to build a five-a-side team!.. Honestly, I think this is the end for Jose, which is sad. Because I truly don't think he's to blame for any of our problems (save for initiating the long running Eva debacle).. So, what has caused our drastic slump? Not strengthening in the transfer window? Losing players with big personalities like Drogba and Cech? Campaigns against us? Eva? Maybe all of those things put together... But the question isn't what caused this disaster. The question is...how do we solve it? If (by some miracle) Roman avoids pulling the trigger, then all we can do is stand behind our manager. Continue to sing his name loudly and defiantly, show the footballing world what the very meaning of the word loyalty is!.. Just remember, whatever happens...we are Chelsea. We all stand together in the sun...now we must do the same through the rain... Keep the faith. KTBFFH.

I, for one, really enjoyed Spectre. It was a throwback to the Bond films of old.. It had it all. Gunbarrel sequence, great action, beautiful women, fast cars, a good henchman villain, the white cat, and all the traditional Bond elements (from "Bond...James Bond" to "Vodka martini, shaken, not stirred")... While not quite as good as Skyfall, it's still a solid Bond movie.
  21. 3-4. Last minute winner (yep...I'm serious).
