Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Nice to see Gary Neville sticking up for Costa on Twitter. He said that Diego's actions against Arsenal were not violent and that the ban was excessive. He also reminded the United supporters that they've had many players who've done the exact same as Costa... I never used to like Gary when he was player, but since he's become a pundit he's been good to us.

Can we "still" win the league?
Yes.

What's gone wrong? Why are we so bad?
Fair point. But Jose certainly brought out the best in those players and practically everyone else in the squad as well. Sadly something which he's failing to do at the moment.

Jose made some very, very important additions to that squad. Drogba, Essien, Cech, Robben, Ferreira, Carvalho, are you forgetting about those? I wouldn't call players of that quality, "a few additions", would you?

You make a good point about Oscar. I too have noticed his importance to the side, and he is in my opinion BY FAR the best choice for the no 10 position. I particularly noticed this in the match against Swansea (in which he was our best player on the pitch). That been said, I don't believe that if you reinsert Oscar back into the team it would solve all our problems.

Well, I'm not sure if it's deliberate, but you do raise a point. We did start last season brilliantly and end it sluggishly. It would be nice to think that we'll eventually hit top form and go on a lengthy winning streak after Christmas. It's just, even if that's the case, by then it may be too late. We're already 11 points adrift of City which is horrendous and at the moment I can only see that gap widening. On the other hand, we're only 6 points behind 2nd placed United and 3rd placed Arsenal, so that's not too bad. You're right about Jose's loyalty to the players going too far. They're getting complacent. It's as if they know however bad they play they'll still get picked in the next game. Benching a few of them for a game or two could help matters.

What's gone wrong? Why are we so bad?
Many thanks for appreciating this thread. I agree that we'll just have to wait and see. I have the utmost faith in Jose to turn this mess around. I only hope he can do it fairly quickly, as I wouldn't like to see us miss out on the top 4.

What's gone wrong? Why are we so bad?
I had to because none of the others were suitable for my post. I'm sorry if you think I should have posted this in the 'Time for Mr Blobby' thread, or the 'Time for Fat Sam' thread. How about you reprimand whoever started those threads instead of me.

What's gone wrong? Why are we so bad?
Okay guys, I'm feeling really confused and frankly rather worried. What the hell is happening at our club? I know you're all probably tried of seeing people moaning on and o here, but I have to express how I feel. I'm just really baffled as to how so many good players can go downhill so quickly. I mean, take Hazard for example, the player of the season last year, yet he looks bang average now. Fabregas is non existent these days while Ivanovic is looking like a total joke, in fact our whole defense is abysmal, while Costa has definitely lost a step or two... How? How can they all go downhill so quickly. If anything, our squad has improved since the start of last season (with the inclusion of Pedro), yet this team is completely unrecognizable to the team that started last season in blistering form... I've always believed that the only way to truly solve a problem is to first understand it fully, and that's where I'm having trouble. I've seen various theories floating about as to why we're underperforming (players siding with Eva over Jose, JT causing unrest because he didn't like been subbed against City), but none of them really ring true to me... So, I have a few questions for you all. What do you think's gone wrong with the players? Is it just a matter of lacking confidence? Is the Eva situation in anyway connected to our dismal form? Should Jose be blamed and even replaced (perish the thought)? Do you think we'll bounce back soon, or remain in miserable form throughout the whole season (like United did under Moyes)? What do you think is the solution?

West Bromwich Albion v Chelsea (PL) 18/05/2015 KO: 20:00
Yeah, that's what I think too. I like Fabregas, I really do, but that was stupid. You can tell he thinks about it before deciding, 'oh, f**k it,' *proceeds to kick ball*... Completely unacceptable...kinda hilarious too, but still unacceptable.

Relax everyone. We're about to witness a 4-0 drubbing.

Awful news... My thoughts and prayers are with Rio and his family at this very tragic time.

Arsenal v. Chelsea (PL) 26/04/2015 KO: 16:00 GMT
Phew. Finally I can relax... Maybe this is a tad premature, but I think we've done it now (I can't see Jose allowing us to let a 10 point lead slip). I don't think we need to win this game, a point would be enough for me. The only hopes Arsenal have of winning the title ride on them beating us, so I think we should be happy with a point. Nevertheless, it would, of course, be sweet to win at the Emirates, but it's not really necessary... I think we're being a little greedy wanting to win the title at Leicester. Personally, I'd be happy to win it against Palace. Either way, Liverpool will have to give us a guard of honour (at least I think they will, I'm not sure if it only applies away from home). It's great to be a Chelsea fan at this time, as the whole media are LIVID about us beating United. They'd have given anything to see us slip up, haha. But we didn't. And now I can't help but think the job's done... It's now not a matter of IF we'll win the title, it's WHEN we'll win the title. KTBFFH.

Chelsea vs Manchester United (PL) 18/04/2015 KO: 17:30 GMT
Ah, I understand. Sorry to hear about that... Not to worry, though. Just think, you'll have all summer to gloat about our title win (I'm 99% sure that it's ours now).

Chelsea vs Manchester United (PL) 18/04/2015 KO: 17:30 GMT
No need to be like that, Bobby. We should be civil and cordial towards our rival fans (as long as they're not dippers).

Euro 2016 Qualifiers
Yes, Rooney is a class player, but he's undoubtedly overrated... He never changes games for his country like Bale does for Wales, Ronald for Portugal, etc.

Chelsea vs Stoke City (PL) 04/04/2015 KO: 17:30 GMT
As much as I'd love to see us win the League by a comfortable margin, a part of me would like to see us nick it on the final day of the season against Sunderland. Having to win the game yet being level at 90 minutes, before a Drogba winner in the 95th minute. That would be sweet!... Although, most of us would probably have died of stress by that point.

Last Movie You Watched
I really enjoyed Thor. Out of the recent Marvel films I've seen the first Thor, the first Iron Man, and both Captain America films. I plan on finally watching Avengers Assemble this week... I'm looking forward to it.

Last Movie You Watched
Play Misty for Me. Clint Eastwood plays a radio jockey who is being stalked by an obsessed female fan. It was good. I'd give it 7/10.

Clarkson gone/sacked/not being renewed!
Indeed. I think what Ross and Brand did was worse than anything Clarkson has done, but I do think on the whole Clarkson is worse, because he's accumulated more offences. With Ross and Brand this was one tremendously nasty act, whereas Clarkson has created several controversies. Such as racist songs, Muslim/burka slurs, Liverpool comments (somewhat understandable), offending Argentina, etc, etc... The man's a walking controversy. He had to go in my opinion.

My sentiments exactly.

Last Movie You Watched
Okay, I can understand that. But, surely that's a case of not actually enjoying the movie itself, you're enjoying seeing them have a good time. That's a different thing altogether. If that was the case then I should adore The Wizard of Oz, because my niece loved it... In fact, I think I'd have enjoyed it marginally more if I'd watched it alone. It made it worse that I had to feign enthusiasm.
