I’m actually surprised the ref didn’t allow the corner, it was only 2 minutes over the 5 minutes it was meant to be.

6 points clear of arsenal, 2 points off City, to say we are ahead of where I thought we'd be at this stage of the season is a massive understatement.
Frank Lampard I f**king love you!

Barklay clearly took that penalty ahead of Jorginho. And he did it for purely selfish reasons. He’s sliding down the pecking order in midfield and wanted to stake a claim. He’s got no future at the club. And he knows it. Bloody awful penalty that might well end up costing us qualification.
Poor from Frank tonight too. Surprised Pulisic didn’t come on ahead of Pedro who looked really off the pace. And I didn’t get the switch of Giroud for Zouma when we should probably have settled for a point. Valencia are no mugs, they sniffed an opportunity and took it.
Our defending from free kicks was astonishingly naive. We were marking thin air while they played around us. Never seen anything like it at this level.
Depressing to lose a game in that fashion. Hope Lampard learns fast. That was shambolic on all levels.

It would be less frustrating if it was the academy players were the ones letting us down. The problem is, it’s the more senior players that are letting us down - that’s what winds me up anyway. The academy boys like Mount, Tammy, Fik are actually our best players so far this season.

Has it been a good start to the season? No.
Should we be overly surprised? Not really.
Let’s not play down how big a transition this season is. A lot was said about needing patients with Sarri because he was overhauling our playing style so drastically, well Lampard is overseeing a change in playing style, a squad overhaul and cultural shift in mentally to player selection. It’s a huge task he’s undertaking.
This is a playing squad that lost leadership and experience in Hazard, Luiz, Cahill and replaced it with youthful promise.
When Jorginho, a player who has only been here 12 months, is spoken about as a leading voice on and off the pitch that tells us a lot about the make up of this squad.
We’ve got a brand new centre back pairing who need to develop an understanding. A new shape to our midfield. Youthful talents of Pulisic (let’s not forget he’s only 20 years old), Mount, Abraham being entrusted with large minutes of playing time.
I’d love to see us going out and smashing Leicester 5-0 today but we’ve got to be realistic about the state of the squad and the expectations we have for it right now.
It’s early days, now is not the time to judge Lampard or these players, especially those playing their first full seasons for Chelsea.
Keep the faith. In Frankie we trust.
    KTBFFH.

Rafael Benitez: Newcastle manager offered £12m by Chinese club Dalian Yifang
Apparently he's "one of the favourites" to succeed Sarri here, and I don't much like the sound of that. Maybe we can hold a whip-round to help out Dalian Yifang?

Can't believe half of the things I'm reading on here. So many doubting Lamps and Jose. I don't think many of you understand that these are two LEGENDS we're talking about. I know that past glories (whether in a shirt or on the touchline) shouldn't influence decisions, but the truth is...they're both capable. Yes, Frank doesn't have the experience. But just like a few others have noted, look at Zidane and Pep. Strong connections to a club can make all the difference. That's why I don't think Ole's done at United yet. It creates a sense of belonging amongst the fans. Lamps is one of our own and when the going gets tough (and I'm sure it will next year, whoever is manager), we'd stand by him. I can't imagine one, real fan turning on him in his first year.

Now as for Jose...I can't believe the outright hatred so many of you seem to have towards him. One person even calling me...'mad' for daring to suggest his return. Let me explain my thinking. Class is permanent. It never goes. Jose is more than capable of bringing success. The way some of you talk it's as though his second stint here was a disaster from day one. All we had was a bad four months. That's it. Yes, there were problems. But the ones who mostly turned against him (Costa and Hazard, IMO) are now gone. It may look as though trouble follows him around. But he's a strong manager. He won't stand for players not giving it their all and I respect that. The reason it went wrong at United is because he realised that Pogba was a lazy player, and the rest of the pampered squad turned on him. Player power is the problem in this case. Not Jose.

So yeah. That's my opinion. And in future, if people can refrain from mocking my opinions that would be great.

Mourinho wasn't the reason those players left, it was our beloved board. Managers at Chelsea have very little say on the comings and goings of players.
