Only Watford (34) have conceded more Premier League away goals in 2019 than Chelsea (30).

Chelsea have won their last six away games in all competitions - only once in their history have they won more consecutively on the road (seven between February-April 1989).

Chelsea have won four consecutive top-flight away games while scoring at least three goals each time for the first time in their history.

Chelsea have scored 16 goals in their five away league games this season - only Norwich (17 in 1993-94) and Manchester City (20 in 2011-12) have scored more in their first five on the road in a Premier League season.

I think that Is a false position for them and they have a new manager (well if not really new, let's say refreshed) and some decent players.

If not taken seriously could turn into a banana skin.

They have not won a game in the opening 10, only managing 5 goals. They are woefully short of confidence and should be easy pickings.

In years past the perfect team for them to play would be Chelsea, we always tended to give out gifts to those teams who struggled most. So will Franks Chelsea follow the trends in our history or smash this lot like we should do?

We seem to be much better away from home so far. With an exception of the opening day, we have won all of our away games in all competitions. Need a reaction here after last night, must get 3 points.

Despite not winning a game yet, they've taken points off of Arsenal and Spurs so we'll need to be clinical.

Hopefully we will bounce back from last nights defeat.

Never an easy game at Watford, I don't expect this one to be any different.

Fully agree. This will be a difficult and physical match. Watford are currently bottom of the table but have been much improved in recent games.

I am so gutted that we wasted jorginho and kovacic against man u. Ajax had no midweek fixture and have had their weekend game moved up to friday so they will super fresh to press the sh*t out of us on Tuesday. I just hope Kante is back for ajax because we will need some extra juice in midfield My team for watford

I like this line up, looks like the best options right now.

Chelsea need to stop giving up easy goals like the ones last week against Burnley, and you guys should win this easily.

I fear that it is such a Chelsea thing to go and lose a game like this.

I think back in recent years and I can recall a couple of similar scenarios.

2014/15 - Aston Villa away. Villa hadnt scored a goal in 11 or so hours of football and they managed to score against us.

2016/17 - Crystal Palace away. Palace had lost of all their games up until this one and they won 2-1.

Watford have not won yet and we've played 10 games. We can't go into this one thinking it's a given.

It's so important that we give 100%.

Totally agree about us giving 100% tomorrow all match and also starting with a high tempo.

Exactly is in our DNA it seems. Gift that keeps on giving.

Watford are looking for their first win in the league, it won't be an easy game, we should put our best performance to keep the points with us.

We're showing good football, and with our style we have to take what we need.

I'd like to see this starting lineup:

---------------- Kepa --------------

James --- Zouma --- Tomori ----- Azpilicueta

 --------- Kovacic ----- Jorginho -----

Willian ------- Mount ---------- Hudson Odoi

------------- Batshuayi ------------

Batshuayi is in good form, I think he deserves to keep the spot with all my love to Abraham.

Even thought Watford are in abysmal form and have yet to win. They are a wounded animal which makes them very dangerous.

team I would go

The pressure is on Watford to win at home, and we are Chelsea...I'm not worried about this game at all.

I'm worried about Crystal Palace right after Ajax, and then Man City right after Palace. But this game should be a routine win.

I can see us winning like 1-2. Definitely not feeling that is going to be an easy game for us. Hope Alonso sits

Match Day.

Come on Chelsea !

I'm working today from 7am -8pm ! Don't ask !!

And so will miss the match. However it's being recorded.

I'll have to do my prediction now on here, as I can't see the Watford score predictor thread

2-1 us and Mason Mount scoring in the 29th minute.

Hope this is okay admin.

Apart from his wondergoal during the week Michy was completely useless.

He needs to accept his role as super-sub.

I’d also like to see James on the right and Azpi on the left. I think Alonso has become a liability now and I’d like to say ‘Adios, amigos’ to him and Pedro ....

As so many have pointed out, this is the game we have just not showed up in recent years. Saw an interview with a Watford supporter this week, and I thought he had it spot on. He said something to the effect that he feared this year’s Chelsea more than any the past years as the team actually looks like they enjoy playing the game and playing with their teammates. I would agree. Beginning with Jose Part II, we seemed to approach these games as just a grind. Rarely would we go out, take charge early, win 5-0, etc. Typically, we would have 75% possession, 900 passes, 1 shot on goal, and either win 1-0 or draw 0-0 and occasionally lose 2-1 when they would hit us on the counter.

Question: are we more open in play and flowing football because it is Frank’s style or because of the large turnover in players on the pitch? Probably a little of both I guess.

It is just so exciting to see our success combined with how young we are. After several seasons of European veterans in and out, a team full of academy players that are succeeding is awesome. And not that I do not like internationals, I do, but the influx of home grown young kids from England has been terrific and great to see.

As for today, Watford only has 5 goals on the season, but I expect them to score on us, probably Deulofeu.

I think Mount will have a good game today, score once and maybe twice. I think this is a good game to see Tammy back on the scoresheet as well. I will go 3-1 to the Chels.

I would not be surprised to see Pulisic sit today so he can be ready for Ajax Tuesday night. The match Tuesday is the key to us getting through the Group and potentially winning the Group.

Would not be surprised to see one or two other changes as well.

I am enjoying Bournemouth leading MU at the moment, though a draw might be best for us in the table to keep them both as far back as possible. But any day MU loses it usually will be a great day!

Ready for our match!

Come on you Chelsea!!
