  1. could we have a I hate Spurts smilie please???
  2. welcome to the asylum
  3. listening to a spurts fan on Talksport radio right now.
  4. I have been to a lot of away games in Europe and here are some of my examples of police brutality and unnecessary behaviour. against Bruges in 94 were were treated to an extra 2 hours on the plane then held on a coach for over an hour in a car park - all this to stop us being in the town. when allowed out we had to have our match ticket on us at all times or risk being arrested. lines of police escorted us off the buses, very threatening style, including being frisked at the entranct to the ground. Similar situation leaving the ground. Zaragosa - unprovoked outrageous behaviour from the riot police who attacked the Chelsea fans during the game with batons etc in the stands. Fortunately I was not at the away end for that match. Seville - horrible feeling of being watched by the cops and even told by some of them not to hang on one side of the ground before the match. now lets go home at 3 point lane, I cannot say I have felt comfortable going to spurts for the last few years. numerous times i have been told by stewards and police not to go down to the coffee bars during half time as there were spurts supporters waiting for us Chelsea lot and that they would probably start a fight with us. When I say us, I mean me and friends all in our 30s and 40s and not exactly what I would call yobs. We don't start anything obviously and dont throw seats, bottles, coins. I am appalled at the italian police at Roma on Tuesday. The Italians have to get their house in order. the problem is being caught up in the violence. it is very frightening.
  5. I said at the beginning of the season and I stand by it that we would come second to the Manks. I absolutely hate to be right about it but I can't see us winning. So on to next season........ what changes do you want to see apart from the obvious as in Please Chelsea Could you Play With Some Passion. Any players out? Who would you like to see in? Manager lost the plot? Roman lost the plot? To me it's obvious, we need a goal scorer. Drogs has done well but early on he didn't. Without JT we were nowhere near as strong at the back. Maka finished? Lamps not as good as the last 2 seasons. Just my early thoughts. If the Manks hadn't done so well ok we would have won the league but with no class and quite frankly boring.
  6. to me it's absolutely daft that a national team could even have a foreign manager and it should be banned. so that would leave out fergie, sparky, sam, lippi, arsyw**ker, etc I think the same problem exists with the team as the manager - there is nobody appropriate to lead the team therefore the team is crap. El Tel is past it now.
  7. the dire headline on the BBC website was 'England hold Israel to a Draw' says it all. Pathetic.
  8. Doug (Own Goal) Rougvie - jeez he used to scare me in front of our goal.
  9. Israel has always been in the Eurovision song contest too. It's a western country in the Middle East, doesn't really fit anywhere. Ditto Turkey.
  10. I hate (love) these flipping games nothing beats the penguin ones though
  11. Club before country? Club for me EVERY time! of course club FIRST.
  12. I think the players think club is way more important than country, none of them want to be injured, especially those players whose clubs are still involved in Europe, FA cup and league titles. So they don't put their all into a game. I think supporters feel the same way about England too. Club before country.
  13. can we stop the mank machine from winning their last games even if we beat them in the league? Are we likely to catch them bearing in mind their GD is miles better than ours. Let's be realistic - will we win it three times in a row or have to be content with second place?
  14. what about a Llama herder from the Andes?
  15. if you hid your pizza in your now overlarge coat the pizza would be on its side. Not a good plan.
  16. They will be right up for thrashing us at the Bridge but hopefully we are on a high from our last few games and wanting another trophy. God I hate Spurts with all my heart. is JT available?
  17. shame on all of you for laughing at Arsenal's demise. Instead you should all be feeling sorry for the team, fans and of course Wenger. And of course for poor old Willy boy who left us for a better club. prayers answered Arse are out of everything
  18. Manks just scored, O Shea and with 10 men

Ok so you have loved Chelsea all your life, you have seen the ups and downs and the downs and ups (Div 2 a few times!). You have sat in the rain, frozen your butt off in far off places like Grimsby, Geordieland, Tromso, and 3 Point Lane. You have taken abuse from Spurts and Arse friends and relatives and hidden your head in shame at 5-0 defeats, you have cried in your beer or coffee, you have sat in traffic jams on motorways up and down the country, sat in airports at 4 in the morning for a day trip to Spain or Belgium. You have spent small fortunes following this club. But you have experienced highs that no drug or sex can take you to. So which is for you? For me it is the FA cup final in 97. No other moment surpasses that for me, not even the league twice feels quite the same. No other prouder moment when Wisey went up to lift the FA cup. When we had to wait from 43 seconds to Eddie Newtons goal at the end of the game. Over and over I watched that moment when I got home from Wemberleeeeeee. Interviews with Hughsie, and Wise and Ruud and Stevie Clarke. Still sends a shiver through me to think of it.
  21. my personal feeling is that he is clueless about the game and has no heart for it. I remember when he first took over whenever we scored I felt, and it looked as though somebody has to prompt him to stand up and clap. He always looks blank for a few seconds as if he has no idea what is going on and reminds me of when I first used to take my kids to Chels and they would ask what was going on, and didnt get excited about the game till they began to understand it. I really don't think he understands football as in the actual game not the business of it.
  22. quote I saw in the Mail today the first time play was stopped by celery
