Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Yap, he's gone... if we are smart we will buy before the deal becomes public knowledge, I would be closing that morata deal now. Hope we go no where near Lukaku, and give michy his chance

The combined 04/05 and 15/16 team
As good as costa is I just can't make a case for him over drogba, till today is there a better big game player in the Pl

a small mistake on their second goal, should have shown the player outside but that aside looks very good

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I can go along with you if the games are tight, nip and tuck, but 2013 they lost 5-0 on aggregate to Real Madrid. At this time Bayarn had a squad at there peak and most players would be called top level if not world class. In 2015 they lost 6-2 on aggregate to Barca Last year they lost marginally to A.Madrid. That's fair enough, but they would have gone in to the game strong faviorest. in 3 attempts with arguably the one of the top 3 squads in Europe I would have expected at least one final in the only real competition they are in from the best manager in the world Compare it to Jose In 2004/5 under Jose we got beat by a ghost goal from a team we dominated prior in the season, loss but we are talking a game that could have gone either way, if Gudjonson converts that volley at the end very different story Second season we lost to Barca, the first leg was pretty controversial with the sending of and we out played them, the away leg meh.. but we didn't get battered, one goal i think. In 2005/6 we lost on penalties in the semi i believe. I think that period is the only time I can say that Chelsea arguably could be considered the best team/squad in Europe, regardless the point is we were at least competitive!

In a German league with no competition, they got their asses handed to them in the CL

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I really, don't think there is any evidence to suggest this. Pep v Chelsea. It doesn't matter how good or bad the chelsea team is, he has always struggled when he was Barcelona manager, he didn't change a thing, they just kept playing the same way, he didn't have a plan B. Pep in Germany: he took an absolutely peak Bayarn team who played superb football that won the CL, forced his philosophy on the team and took them backwards, that's not adapting, that not's looking at what you have and playing to the strengths of you're players, that's being a stubborn ass and saying my way or the high way. Pep now: Nothing has changed at City, since the start of the season despite glaring issues. That city team and squad is the best in the league on paper or as rated at the beginning of the season. They haven't been in the conversation for the title since feb

Romelu Lukaku
Shocking link up play!!
-
Romelu Lukaku
Having a player that improves your overall play should naturally increase the goals for those around him as well
-
Romelu Lukaku
Morata reminds me of Gudjonson, excellent at bringing those around him to the game, and capable of getting goals as well. Teddy Sherringham was another. So that works, but Alot of this depends on who we keep and sell. A forward set up of.. Kate..... Matic .....Fabregas/ Hazard.... S1 ...........S2 It pains me not to see both Fabregas and Hazard in the starting line up. Also has much as i love matic we may need a more forward thinking athletic center mid next to Kante,

Romelu Lukaku
A chip on sholdure is no bad thing as a motivator. Personally I would prefer morata by the way

Romelu Lukaku
So i'm not sure how many remember or how many were on the forum back then but, there was a fella here in 2012 who claimed to be very close with Todd Kane. He would tell us that with 100% certainty, Lukaku was a running joke on the training pitch due to how bad he was, The Butt of most of the jokes bordering on bullying. As with all posters of that nature we ended up in some pretty big arguments on here and not sure what happend to him. Now that he could be coming back, the same rumors seem to be surfacing, apparently it was a bit more common knowledge then we would have believed at the time. Be interesting to see how that dynamic affects his attitude towards a move, maybe he has a chip on his sholdure,

Cesc Fabregas
There are so few players available that can do what he can, such a joy to watch. Must keep him
-
Virgil Van Dijk
Probably haven't seen enough of the lad but don't think at the quoted 50 mill this is worthit, Andreas has been excellent in his two years out on loan and Ake looks like he could be a top player given the chance. If Hazard does go of to Madrid we will need to invest big time and there are not a lot of ready made replacements around, aside from that even if he doesn't i would say that are budget should be focused on another top top attacking mid player

*Official* Pedro to Chelsea
Probably one of the positions we need to be upgrading next season (assuming we keep Eden) willian is a better player, better touch, better passer of the ball, a bit quicker but Pedro is miles ahead in the finishing department (although also has a few key goals this year) yesterday William should have had a second and the touch he took sums him up. Think both players need need to be kept for the sake of the squad and the CL will add stress to the squad but if we could pick up another special talent for that side of the pitch

Everton Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 30/04 2017 KO 14:05 GMT
It's like a pre season friendly
-
Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I pretty much go along with this. If we know its going to happen we need to secure replacements before hand. Once Madrid hand over a cool 100 million the price of every target will go up

who else is feeling more skeptical about winning the league as each fixture approaches?
I think if we win our 3 home games we are over the line. If spurs pick up all 3 points this weekend then i might start thinking differently but I believe both arsenal and united will take points of them both chasing down very important CL spots, we should all want Jose and united to be dong job on city this week, we need them confident and believing in a top 4 spot. if spurs drop the 4 i predict the best they can muster is 86, win our 3 home games 87 ... BOSH!!! Cost coming in to form at the right time hopefully as well, The man is well known to be a bit of a streaky player but he streaks at the right time.. I have Everton down as a loss by the way, but if we pull something of there I think we are across the line. (PS it was nice to have one day were this sh*t didn't play on my mind)

Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017
Beat result for us, always difficult to beat a top club 3 times is a season, city would have been harder. In addition they will be more confident for next weeek , need them to want the NLD
