Yes i really don't like the narrative that everything was next to perfect for a season and a bit then a mere few bad results and all of a sudden people lost patience.
The previous season we produced borderline relegation fighting form for nearly half a season and Lampard still kept his job, the notion he was sacked at the very first sign of trouble is complete nonsense.

I expect the Euros to re-energize Timo, I think he'll get his confidence back and return an absolute beast. Notice how his earlier goals last season saw him coming inside onto his right foot from the left hand side. When he lost his confidence he started going on the outside with his left foot to shoot from harder angles or put in passes.
Working with the German international coaches should be enough to help break him out of his slump. Add in Tuchel having a full preseason the real Timo should be a more common feature next season.

The problem with wish listing players to sell is that someone needs to want to buy them, for all of the suggestions here how many are we actually likely to offload?

    Current first team:
    Kepa 40m - Spain no1 Christensen 40m - Big potential Emerson 25m - Brazilian fullback Barkley 25m - English tax Batshuayi 20m - Still fairly young Total: 150m
    Loan players:
    Moses 10m Musonda 5m Clarke-Salter 5m Miazga 5m Baker 5m Drinkwater 5m Zappacosta 10m Bakayoko 30m Kenedy 5m Total: 80m
    WAR CHEST £230m
    Chilwell £50m, Onana £30m, Van Dijk £150m
Obviously Van Dijk was a joke but that still leaves us 150m. Even without Kepa sale, still 110m. If only it were this simple. Plus you wouldn’t put it past Marina to sell one of our 5m players for 20m.

Personally I’d keep Victor Moses. He’s a great wingback, would be a good option to have abit like Alonso.
    Drinkwater - 5m
    Bakayoko - 20m
    Emerson - 25m
    Zappacosta - 10m
    Jorginho - 50m
    Christensen - 40m
    Kepa - 40m
I know the prices are high for Christensen and Kepa, but it’s not cheap to buy a young centre back with big potential. Christensen would do really well in a less physical league. Kepa, as shocking as he has been, still is Spain’s no 1 and it’s possible he could end up being world class as hard as that is to believe.
I don’t think I need to explain about Jorginho, he’s a class player. Unfortunately not suitable for Lampard.

Wait a second - 20m for Drinkwater? It will be considered good business if we get anywhere close to 10m, and even less.

Why not indeed, roman is loaded. All this time he hast wasted his money on Drinkwaters and Bakas whwn he could have been investing heavily in gene therapy.
Pay cloning rights to the originals and then build us a dream team of players since he bought the club:

    Cech

    Ivanovic
    Cahill
    JT
    Cole

    Maka
    Kante
    Lampard

    Mount
    Drogba
    Hazard

When they get old just replace with a younger copy. Problem solved!

I think he is City bound all day long. We are miles behind them just in terms of attracting talent other than breing able to offer players  a life in living in the capital rather than a suburb of Bolton.

Is Haaland really as unrealistic as everyone says he is?
Barca are broke atm and I doubt Real have the funds either (given they're trying to offload Hazard for cheap). That leaves Man Utd, City and us. United most likely won't go for a striker with Cavani's new deal so it's just between us and Man City I'd imagine.
Imo 140m on Haaland's a far better investment than 100m on Lukaku given Haaland's younger age and far higher ceiling. Given Roman's net worth increase I can see us breaking the bank for him this summer

We aren't getting Kane though. Spurs won't sell him to us and he won't choose us. He is leaving Spurs because he knows he needs to win major trophies in his career. We are are a risky bet in that regard.

I like him, a clever player for finding spaces.
    He’s not a number 9 or a false 9 imo.
He’s a number 10 or an attacking midfielder.
Offers more than Pulisic atm, has to play in next week’s final.

Has to start. Play a decent striker off him. He finds the space between the lines and transitions play so well.
we need to play more attackers and less defenders, and the first names on the attacking front needs to be Mount and Kai.

Ah the spine of Cech, JT, Ricky/cahill, Maka, Lamps, Ballack/Essien and Drogba.
Doubt we will ever see one that strong again. Amazing pride in the shirt.

I still feel like the board dropped the ball with Conte, I still can't understand how the board can make the same mistake twice. 2015 we win the league fail to truly build a dynasty, 2017 win the league and again failed to build on it. Now we have TT we need to back him and then if we do win the league and the UCL we need to bring in top tier players to help us regularly compete and win these titles.
Realistically who else in the world could we really have in the hot seat that could regularly challenge Klopp and Pep in the domestic league alongside the other great managers in England and Europe. Tuchel is the best man for the job imo but he must be given time and the chance to get his players in so we can actually play his style of football.

    Interesting stats;
    - If you assume Werner is a Wing Forward, it’s an OK 1st season. If you compare with your Sterling’s & Mane who are having very poor seasons, he has been average also.
    - Mount has a worse output in comparison with his 1st season, however an eye test shows he has been brilliant.
    - All our wingers are sh*te!
    - Pulisic has been bang average, & living off an half season
    - Chiwell has had a decent 1st season.
    - We have a big problem on the right. Both RBs are bang average IMO. Azpi you could give a pass becos he is aging, not convinced James is the long term solution.
    - CHO interesting enough has had an OK in comparison to the other wingers output wise.

I just hope we go with a more attacking approach. Our best games under Tuchel have been where we have played on the counter. We can use that strategy in the Champs League final but we need to more positive in our remaining League games. If we take our usual approach we will likely once again be rolling the dice that one of our misfiring strikers takes the 1 or 2 chances that come their way. That will play right into Leicester's hands.

I'll be honest. This whole discussion about Liverpool possibly dropping points and whether their opponents can be bothered to turn up irritates me. We shouldn't rely on the likes of Burnley or Palace to do our job for us. If we fail to win tomorrow I fully expect scousers to take advantage of our failure and beat us to the place in the top four.
And if we can' t take care of business and beat Leicester and Villa, then we don't deserve to play in the CL next season, anyway.

Yeah I don’t buy into this “no leaders on the pitch” thing. This is a stale argument that no longer holds true. It’s not the reason for our last two results. Dave has been a great captain. Silva is a real leader too, whether he’s playing or not. Mount - exemplary attitude and a future leader for sure. Jorginho gives his all, whether you like him or not. Werner, James.... only doubt right now on this front is Ziyech. All in all, our team spirit hasn’t been as good as it is now in a long time. It’s one reason we’re in the CL final. If people wanna be negative that’s fine, but at least be negative for the right reasons.

I freaking hate this comments. Absolutely hate it. Azpi has been fantastic captain for us. Give 110% every game and by most player account the most professional player in the team.
If you want to drag performance from the team bring great player. We had Hazard for years and whenever Hazard played well we almost always win and they guy is no leader.

I think we need to come out all guns blazing in these last 2 games. Sick of seeing Werner now, lets go a bit more attacking, and play players that at the very least have some technical qualities.
    Id go
    James T.Silva Rudiger
    CHO kante Kova Chilwell
    Mount Pulisic
    Havertz.
Harsh on azpi, but if Tuchel is concerned about Vardys pace, by all means play James, but dont sacrifice the attacking play down the right. Ziyech is also too inconsistent, some games looks lively, some games looks bullied out of it, and considering we bought him for his creativity and final ball, there has many very little evidence of him delivering.
Not confident at all about the last 3 games, wouldnt surprise me if we won tomorrow and then drop points at villa anyway.
