I don't disagree there, more the Madueke becoming a top player or even half that of Salah that I have a disagreement with. Think Noni has a bit of the Zaha about him, already peak world class in his head and no reason improve. He will score the odd worldie or some dribble that gets people talking but in the end spend most of his career moaning and gesturing to anyone that will listen.
I honestly hope Maresca has had proper review of the players and the club is listening to the fact that the likes of Noni, Jackson, and Sanchez are simply not good enough and we need to move on and replace them.

Dribbling is one thing but having speed at the very top level just puts Madueke in a different bracket, if Madueke ever figures out how to shoot or exploit the angles better, we'd have a potential Salah on our hands

True. Is Madueke that much better though?

Its Easter. Reckon they'll sack him tonight, then he'll show up at Cobham in three days.

f**king sh*te all round and I don’t know if I can continue to watch this honestly. We were as useful as a wet paper bag:

We have a keeper that can't keep, a defence that can't defend, strikers that can't strike and a manager that can't manage. apart from that all is great, 🤪

  7. Nice One
No we didn't. Liverpool were comfortable defensively, we barely created anything. And in attack, they had a plan to hit us quick and it worked. They even saw out the last 20 minutes without much fuss. We need to stop passing for the sake of passing and actually start trying to hurt teams. Every time we come up against a loaded defence, we look useless.

You're not getting this are you.
You cannot be a professional defender by not marking simply because somebody else hasn't done their job. It doesn't matter where the cross comes from.  It doesn't matter if there is a shot on goal. It doesn't matter if there is a goal. The first job and the most important job of a CB is to mark the player and cover the space in your zone. Clear the danger, discuss the issues later.
  10. Nice One
But you cannot play football not doing the job you are employed to do simply because others are failing to do theirs. Nothing to do with analysing the circumstances of the goal. Like I said it's defending 101. If you are a CB and have a player to mark, regardless of what is going on around you, your first responsibility is to pick up your man. The lack of awareness and ball watching from a "generational" talent six yards from his own goal line is deeply troubling.
Applying your rationale Bob the goalie will get a pass on virtually every goal conceded, simply because we should be set up I such a way that we don't get shots on target against us. We know that happens and therefore the keepers first responsibility is to save shots on target. Except with this manager apparently

I'm proud of our team tonight, if we had a striker it would have been a great win.
I'm not going to moan about Jacko or Poch or anything else.
    Come on you BLUES !
  12. Nice One
A great cup run comes to an end ... well done Chels. Gave the best team in the country a lot to think about today, and in the end it was that extra little bit of quality and experience that made the difference.
Win or lose, up the Blues :-)
  13. Nice One
Certainly several games this season I have questioned Poch. But in my opinion today was not one of them. We were let down by poor finishing, lack of cover in key positions through injuries, and some players in the squad who clearly aren't good enough.

Nothing more Poch could do.  Better striker who can take chances and we would have won the League Cup and be in the FA Cup final…..
  15. Nice One
Disasi is the only CB that could cover the RB position and you probably missed the fact that Gallagher changed sides and was on the right side trying to help out once the changes were made, Pochettino literally couldn't do anything else there.
  16. Nice One
If we had a competent centre forward we win today. Jackson is not that player.

Perhaps, although I'm not totally sure where we can pinpoint the nucleus of the downfall.  Maybe it was that 51st game, having won 32 and lost just 7 of his previous 50 games. Or maybe it was at the point of holding the Champions league trophy aloft in May 2021, or maybe winning the Super Cup, or maybe winning the World Club Cup. Its hard to see when the writing really was on the wall. Nothing to do with these idiot venture capitalists binning off virtually every remnant of the very fabric of our club, and replacing it with clowns to the left of us, jokers to the right.

Definite signs of life recently. If the present trajectory continues I think we should give the fat-faced, short arsed, hair dyeing, Sp*** w**ker another season.

I seriously can’t get my head around people who scoff at Tuchel nowadays, I mean he won us the champions league when no one saw it coming.
Werner, Havertz and Mount as our front three for christs sake.
I find it abit disrespectful especially after how he steered us through all the controversy with the war in Ukraine and sanctions, and the takeover. I thought he handled it all impeccably and he seemed to be at home here. He even wrote tweets after leaving which was really out of character, I don’t recall him being on social media previously so it shows how much it meant to him. He didn’t do it for any previous clubs and I doubt he will for Bayern.
He was our chance of a long term manager and we blew it.

Surprised to see so many Poch out.
I thought most people on the shed end were still blaming Tuchel for the 3 managers and 45 players we signed after sacking him not being very good.

O'Neil's side is winning by two goals and he's out there instructing and shouting at his players like a mad man.
Pochettino is behind by two and is sitting there like a fat fraud who's perfectly happy to collect his paycheck and don't give a damn.
