Gotta love the way these refs manage the clock in Liverpool games. On Sunday, Dean added on about 30 seconds and allowed the keeper to run 100 yards upfield for a corner. Just now, Burnley get a free kick on 45:52, and Kavanagh blows for HT to prevent them taking it. Without that goal on Sunday, we'd now be guaranteed top 4, as would Leicester.

And no VAR review, nothing wrong with the goal but if it was us they would be having a look for something

This sounds like another modern footballism. Recycling possession? I never remember people saying that about Ballack, Essien, Lampard, Makalele and so on. Jorginho is simply bang average nothingness. City fans still assume it was a hoax that they were linked with him.

Top 4 isn’t a trophy. How you can be happier finishing top 4 than winning a competition is really odd to me. Each their own but that’s very Arsenal.

But the weaker team lost. It’s incredible arrogance to think we’re stronger.
Who won the FA cup? Who is third and who is fourth in the table? Why are they the weaker team? Because our team cost a lot more?

I’ve said it a bunch of times before, but VAR is not accurate enough to determine such close offside calls. How do you define the exact moment in time that the pass is played? That was a perfectly timed run and the goal should have stood.
We weren’t great but that has left a foul taste in my mouth.

This is possibly the hardest final defeat I have ever had to accept. Done by the one thing that has been screwing us since it was bought into the game. I'm f**king sick of it, I can't accept it in the game anymore, it needs to f**king go. We don't have refs capable of using it correctly, they are drawing f**king silly lines to make decisions. This is not what it was bought in for.
That goal was NOT offside. How can they not check the actual frame where contact with the ball was made? The ball was already slightly off the ground on the freame they looked at, so it was not the correct frame to use. Nobody will f**king do anything about it though, this sh*t is going to be in the game forever and ruin more and more games.

Yeah, we can moan about the decisions, but fair play yo Leicester. They played to their strengths and in Tielemans had the best player on the pitch. They didn't f**k about playing 1000 passes that get you knowhere. Not having a go at Jorginho but I hope next season we change direction cos this possession football is sh*t to watch and you end up with f**k all.
At least losing to Leicester doesn't feels as bad as the gooners or dippers or spuds etc.

The handball is waved away for VAR but the 'offside' goes straight to VAR. Leicester have never won it, we're in the Champions League Final, this game is not fixed at all.
    It's not football anymore.

Hear this argument  so many times for some years now. So sad that the once great trophy is now deemed almost an irrelevance in the modern game. The FA Cup Final used to be THE biggest event in the football calendar. It was the highlight  - we all wanted our team to win the FA Cup and we all dreamed of scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup final at Wembley. Now folk see finishing top 4 as more important. I've spoken to a number of people over the last couple of days, talking about the final and some didn't even realise it was the final this week nor who was playing in it! It's become just another televised game and it has lost practically everything that once made it so special.
Boy, how the greedy f**kers who run football have changed things for the worst. Call me an old romantic and i know it will never happen but if it was put to the vote, I would abolish the CL and Europa League and return to the old system of European Cup for title winners, Cup Winners Cup and Uefa Cup how it used to be - two leg knock-out and none of the boring old league sh*t. They were all trophies worth winning back then - money has ruined the game.
Anyway, lets hope we win the old trophy again tomorrow and add it to our list of honours (for those newer to the game, finishing 4th is not a listed honour).

Exactly. Other than more money for the über wealthy clubs and those laying in the cut, what other tangible benefits does this offer?
It’s basically what our society is all about. Ripping the heart out of something fundamental to hundreds of millions of people for the benefit of a tiny minority who were already prosperous.

He's been a true servant to the club and to the badge since day one he's been one of my favourite players since joining Chelsea he's work rate skill attitude has always been professional. I really don't care about the Conte incident because we have no idea what went on behind close doors and judging my Conte character traits and what he's still showing at Inter I will back a players who's run his socks off since joining this club rather than a arrogant twat who has fit if he doesn't get his own way, Willian he is a true club legend.

I hope he does full 10 years and get his testimonial and citizenship he's a true professional also let's not forget he recently lost his mom think couple years now they were really close based on reports and that can have a huge impact on his mental state but he kept his head and kept working for the club.

This is probably my first post or one of very few this season as this place can get painfully sad. Nevertheless as a fan, it's always a place I come to observe and read what fellow fans think and I have gone the whole nine yards of the emotional roller coaster of this place, this season.
It's funny to see the pro and anti Sarri posts but I think it's almost ridiculous if not bordering on lunacy the way some people seek to exclude Sarri's current stance (if true) from the behaviour of some petulant and unreasonable approach of some of the fan base.
Read a post where someone said anyone linking both is delusional and another or a few saying Sarri didnt ingratiate himself with the fans. I call bull on both.
A manager in such late years with his biggest footballing jobs in his last 2 and in the last 4 years ago has not had a career in professional football from the get go will be affected by the boo boys. Simply because at that level all he has to go on is his results and validation from those around him who matter ie fans and club management.
He has delivered his results and if we reverse the league performance back to front (flying start, difficult middle, steady finish) it would be all gravy in the world of the fans, albeit a few as in life one of the constants is haters. Can't please 'em all.
He left his beloved Naples only for two reasons. The problems with De laurentis and the pull of Chelsea. He will leave Chelsea also because of conflict, maybe with the fans but not because of the pull of Juventus or a transfer ban.
Whilst he would like to have players that fit into his system he is not as focussed on the market as some other managers and this is why the transfer ban won't be a factor in his decision.
He's not a typical professional football manager hence the lack of press sound bites and also maybe less of a need to pander to the whims of a spoilt fan base. Sarri being stubborn is a reflection of his conviction in his methods and this is similar to Pep in his first season. The only reason the press couldn't get the heat turned up to the degree they did to Sarri with Pep was his trophy count from other leagues.
This was simply a combination of the bias, possibly unconscious but bias nevertheless the media in this country have about Chelsea and secondly the assumed affront of a man that had won nothing previously going against what they considered the best positions for our personnel in the team in their capacity as the holders of knowledge and divine understanding on how football should be played.
This post will be longer than this if I go on like I had planned to express my view but I think I'll just wrap it up here by saying we as fans (most) have long wanted a different identity to our football and Sarri was delivering that after a decade of playing something on the other end of the scale. It is not a season's job.
The loss of Sarri, whether you like to convince yourself different is up to you, will set us back.
I didn't particularly like him as our choice when Conte left but was willing to give him a chance so supported fully. That's what as fans we should all have done.
Frank Lampard is not ready to take on a job the scale of Chelsea. Stop the delusion.
A manager's job description, I'm very doubtful includes a requirement to ingratiate himself with the fans and the fans have no right to demand this. If a manager does so excellent, if he doesn't it is not an excuse to boo him and berate him. He works to bring the fans pleasure and satisfaction ultimately through results and booing your own team in any case is the absurdity and polar opposite of what the role of fans to their team should be.

Can we just f**king back him rather than slag off a 20 year old.
He's a Chelsea player now. It's obvious he wanted to be a Chelsea player for a while.
He might start out slow - it's a new league and he's 20. But let's not get on his back. Let's support him.

I think there is definately some overrating of our youth players, take hazard out of this side and we are pretty average. We also have big injuries to 2 potential key players, and if sarri goes, we  ack at square 1, with a manager trying to implement his tactics, only this time he cant bring in his own players, our best player has gone, and alot of the squad is on the decline.
Maybe Abraham, Mount, and James can pick up the slack, but its a big ask to go straight from the championship to competing at the top end of the premier league, and champions league.
I think top 4 next season with a ban and a change of manager, is an absolute pipedream.

I don't think things were anywhere near as bad back then. We spent enough money to get us competing with the best, but there was still a ton of great players playing for different clubs all around Europe and we were never ahead of every team in Europe. City have been spending and spending and spending for over 10 years now, and it looks like it's going to keep going. There was competition when we were spending money, but City are taking away any kind of competition, especially in the Premier League. Nobody can compete with City, if City wants a player, then there is no point trying to out bid them because you will always lose.
I personally think English football is in big trouble of becoming boring to the point where people start losing interest. The Premier League is known for being competitive with teams that never give up and we see mid table and lower league teams produce good results against the big teams, that hasn't been happening in the last 2 seasons. We just seen a team in the top half of the Premier League get destroyed easily by City in an F.A cup final, I have never seen anything like that.
There is no competition anymore, and English football is well on it's way to becoming dominated by one team, exactly like Scottish football.
