Chelsea killjoys - the end of celery
There was a statement from the club on chelsea tv...I think you're right about the football authorities getting involved...the statement said that incidents had been reported in two games recently...one was obviously the carling cup final, not sure about the other one

Chelsea killjoys - the end of celery
Apparently the club will ban anyone that throws celery at the ground and will confiscate it if anyone tries to take it into sb. It's always been part of the fun and part of true chelsea fans sing-song...some guys may go ott and throw it at oppo players, but it just seems sad to me that this bit of fun will be no more...another tradition gone

Chelsea v Spurs 10 stabbed
she's just some silly bint more into the pimms and lemonade at wimbledon than a proper sport like football...she just sounds like some bored housewife

and so to Spurts
I thought essien outshone carvalho despite his own goal and that says it all..carvalho was charging out of defence like a nutter leaving the rest to clear up the mess...it was him that almost gifted the fourth when he charged at berbatov leaving a massive space for lennon to run into and only cech saved us... as for theories of dropping lamps, people must be mad...you don't leave out one of your matchwinners/goalcorers...if lamps hadn't played today we would have lost...his form is not as bad as you think and he will be crucial to our hopes of winning any of the three trophies left

and so to Spurts
now people on here know i like robben, but like you guys, I think his diving is an embarassment...the annoying thing was he was on chelsea tv on friday night for the phone-in show...surpringly and perhaps to his credit, neil barnett read out two e-mails pleading with robben to stop diving and i think a few callers said the same...robben frowned although never got the chance to respond. he obviously didn't listen..the one he did in the area was worse than the porto one... as for our defending today, it was the worst I have seen in recent years...spurs looked like they'd score every time and maka's absence was not the reason why...carvalho had a stinker, essien as great as he was in the tackle, struggled positionally...ashley was poor (again) and i'm not actually sure we had a right back after paulo went off! we were lucky to get a replay today, but you can't question the heart and character of this team...they just don't know when they're beaten

The next round
I don't begrudge pool winning so many euro cups and titles...good luck to them...but the arguement that trophies equate to whether a club has history/tradition is flawed. It's the cry of the glory-hunters...That is why liverpool fans have become so hated at chelsea...they have disrespected our club time and time again...

The next round
Worst team in the competition? Only your opinion i suppose, but i'm sure every manager in left in the competition wanted to avoid us. We might have failed miserably in the league this year, but in Europe we can and have beaten anyone of any note. But i suppose Barca were understrength and other feeble excuses apply! As for special european nights, did you go to both legs of the semi in 2005? I know which one was more 'special'. If chelsea and pool get through, and that's a big if at this stage, i expect a totally different vibe at stamford bridge this time...I was at that game in 2005 before it went back to anfield and I think no-one appreciated the occasion...it was a mistake, but i feel it was because it didn't feel like a champs game as it was against your boys for the fourth time that season and quite frankly you're not exactly an exciting draw to get...lock out for 90 minutes and try and hit on the break...I also think Chelsea underestimated you as pool were something like 30 odd points behind in the league at the time... To be fair it's a lot easier to have a special night at anfield when 1) you are the underdogs 2) it was the only chance of silverware you had that season 3) it was the second leg so it was sh*t or bust. Points 1 and 3 applied to us when we played barca in the second round that year and I can assure you that sb was very special that night and we won the game. As I said if it happens again, I think Chelsea fans might have a slightly warmer atmosphere going, although sadly it will be a repeat of the first leg scenario

The next round
first priority is valencia...we can't afford to be distracted by pool
-
Valencia ????
I bet he plays a blinder
-
Ha ha!!
you have to hand it to wenger again...his moaning that a chelsea player put them out...would he have thanked us if alex's own goal had helped put them through?
-
Ha ha!!
I don't know what's funnier..the arse going out or the media doing a hilarious bit of backtracking after declaring wenger the messiah and the so-called 'kids' at the club, football's disciples, just two weeks ago. another season without a trophy...

Chelsea vs Porto. Show must go on!!!
I never thought someone would eclipse wenger...that's a whole new level...even stevie wonder would have seen that kick off!
-
Mikel - every bit as promising a talent as Fabregas
my apologies loz...but being realistic there was no way jose was going to take lamps or ballack off and maka has been off form for weeks
-
Mikel - every bit as promising a talent as Fabregas
he wouldn't of been on the pitch if you'd had your way!
-
Chelsea vs Porto. Show must go on!!!
I'd just like to say the ruck between valencia and inter tonight puts into perspective the handbags that took place at Cardiff last week...tonight was a brawl and needs no hype from the english press
-
Chelsea vs Porto. Show must go on!!!
It's Friday and the draw for the semis is made as well
-
Chelsea vs Porto. Show must go on!!!
I would agree with some of that synopsis up to half-time, but i think you're getting carried away about the Porto manager and tactics...Porto were on top but scoring from their first attack made their job easier to sit back and go on the counter...yes we were fortunate with the equaliser, but the sub of Mikel for maka changed the balance of power in midfield and we bossed the second half...Porto did very little going forward after their goal and Cech had very little to do
-
The night Mikel came of age
Just got back from Stamford bridge and a great comeback by the lads...woeful first half, as we were losing midfield battle...unlike Loz, i applauded Jose's decision as maka has been anonymous in too many games of late and was not setting up our attacks...this is what Mikel did when he came on and he bossed the middle of the park...cool on the ball and a nice pass here and there, he looked the business and should be applauded for showing up in a big game...many have questioned why he was signed, tonight we saw why... Can i also confirm a welcome return for the Shed End...it's back...the singing section has worked and it was a great atmosphere...problem is those flags...you spend half of the game wondering where to put it as you go through the chants!

if no premiership title, is the season a failure?
I want the big two obviously but i would love for us to win the FA cup again...it's been seven years since we last did it and it's about time we won it again and let's be honest it's the real domestic cup competition to win....looking at the teams left we have a great chance if we beat spurs on sunday, with Man utd the only big team left...besides I'd love to be at wembley in may seeing JT lift the trophy...awesome
-
Nine 2 go
It seems that the Chelsea - Man U game could be moved (end of the season?) because it clashes with the FA Cup dates. Almost certain to happen. At least one of us will get through. Probably both. I just fear that's another part of utd's fortune this season...one of the teams should make it through in the FA cup (i don't want to jinx us) and so depriving us of the chance of a major psychological blow with a few games left...there is a danger we will play them when it's too late making the game meaningless

pompey ratings
I don't think chelsea have played as badly (boring, negative) as a lot of people make out...yes we've had games where it's been more efficient than spectacular, but we had that in both championship seasons...we've also had some really exciting matches, arguably more than the last two with the disruptions to our defence taking away the predicatbility factor...there is no doubt that when we go for it we are really exciting to watch, although jose only does this when we are drawing or losing. The same can be said of utd...they have had impressive games and they tend to put sides away more when they are on top than we do hence the better goal difference, but they have been average on a number of occasions too and have relied on individual flair to get the points. I understand what people say about the diamond, mainly cos ballack has been in cruise control for much of the season...but we played the diamond in the nou camp which was one of our best performances of the season when we drew 2-2 and showed far better football than pool did in their victory. Playing 4-4-2 may not appeal to all but it has played a major factor in Drogba's impressive scoring rate this season

if no premiership title, is the season a failure?
I hope people know that i am not suggesting our season will be a failure if we don't win the league, just to expect the abuse from others outside the club if we don't
