with utd odds on to win the league now, I wonder how fellow chelsea fans will take the news if we are no longer champions of england...you know that the media are going to slag us and jose off, saying with all our millions that it's a disgrace not to win, blah blah blah of course we still have a chance in fa cup and champs league, but if we don't win in europe either, the knives will be out... But my cutlery will be staying firmly in the draw! I think it's a miracle we still have a chance of winning the league considering our many problems this season and it's thanks to us the country has a title race at all...utd are on course to beat our points record of 2005 so there is no disgrace to finishing second to that considering the amount of misfortune we have had. I also think that utd are not far away from another massive rebuilding job...their team is old...van der sar, neville, scholes, giggs, solskjaer are all over 30, while silvestre, ferdinand, saha are all approaching 30. I'm confident that whatever trophies we end up with this year we will come back stronger than ever next season, hopefully having learned a lesson or two from the mistakes of this year, but utd can only get worse.

I think you're being too harsh...the guys were average hence a 6, but they weren't poor...they did have enough moments to help get the win and Ballack's passing was good enough to get a 7 today

Cech 9 mom this guy is top class and his 3 month absence is one of the reasons we're not top of the table now Diarra 7 another good showing at right back...where's his long-term contract? Carvalho 7 usual performance from him...at times great, at times nowhere to be seen! Essien 7 couldn't cope with pompey's long ball tactics, but great strength on the floor Cole 7 defensively still a bit hesitant for me, but did set up both goals. Maka 6 still worried about his form, just not maka like at the mo Lamps 6 pretty average showing Ballack 7 yes, I have rated ballack higher than the other two, headline news...but I thought his passing was good and he didn't disappear like he normally does Robben 7 posed a great attacking threat although didn't always make the most of it Sheva 6 actually worked pretty hard for the team, but never looked like scoring Drogba 7 just for the quality of his finish and some of his defending...but it wasn't one of his best games Subs Kalou 7 real livewire and nice finish SWP 6.5 great pace and looked dangerous, just lacked final ball Bridge 7 looked good with every touch and seemed to enjoy taking on pompey fans

That utd win reminds me of when joe cole scored a late deflected winner in our first championship season when we were completely outplayed and stole the points...Utd are playing very averagely at the moment but keep winning...while mathmatically we have a chance, I can't see how we can catch them what with their fortune and our misfortune...their name is on the trophy this season

disgrace that there is no statue...should have a nice big one in the big space leading up to west stand, or around the chelsea village...he is chelsea and fans want to pay their respects and honour their hero

I find it hilarious how wenger has suddenly spit the dummy out now that the arse have lost in two cup competitions...I also find it funny how the media who were worshipping all things arse just fours days ago are now saying they have four days to save their season!

basically today's judgement by the fa on Mikel was the same as webb's on the day...someone had to pay for this melee and regardless of his lack of action in the bust-up, the fa couldn't be seen to be letting him off, particularly after going after arsenal players more heavily

no sign of united's luck abating...just seen their cup tie at reading...they went three goals up in the first six minutes thanks to a dodgy keeper, but were then outplayed for the next 84 by reading's second string and were lucky to hold onto 3-2 win...all the fortune they're having reminds me of treble winning side of 99...yes they had a lot of ability, but they had a lot of luck as well

as i mentioned in the cup forum, a lot was said about arsenal's youngsters, but nothing about this guy who was superb in the final and showed great composure to defend while on a yellow card for so long...i hope chelsea will now tie him onto a long-term deal and keep him in the first team...he's class

I remember that every time arsenal strung three passes together he'd be creaming himself, whenever we knocked the ball around there was just silence from him...or he'd be moaning that a Chelsea player wasn't booked and then if an arse player was he'd say, that was no worse than so and so in the chelsea team

that picture of the offside reminds me of my anger about gray...he went on for ages about that and it was so obviously onside...even redknapp and mcallister said it was onside at half-time but gray kept on his bitter rant in the second half...I know I watch chelsea games with blue specs so am sensitive to people being anti-chelsea, but gray's performance today was so one-sided it was completely unprofessional...the guy didn't have a nice word to say about us and couldn't hide his disappointment that arsenal's 'kids' lost

It's a shame the Arse fans in the pub i was in couldn't of reacted that way all they were doing was cheering and saying he was dead the d*ckheads. but anyway atleast JT is alright thats all that matter's.
