  1. Pretty sure Man City have been after him for a while now. Wouldn't be surprised if they were to bid for him.
  2. That's nice and all but they will never get chances.
  3. I really doubt he would have gone to PSG anyway. He's not Falcao, he's not driven by money.
  4. Don't even remind me about Borini, ugh. Such a shame and disgraceful the way he was treated.
  5. I have no problem with buying 18 to 23 year olds but only if they are better than our current youngsters and will be expected to go straight into the first team/sub. I'm hardly going to be sitting here moaning if we signed James Rodriguez for example, if Kakuta was to leave I wouldn't mind cause James is a fantastic player. But that's my point, Moses isn't worth the wages, fee and the most likely loss of Kakuta. I really can't see a situation where both of them can get enough game time to impress, unless we are extremely unlucky with injures. Kakuta has already said he either wants to get games at Chelsea or leave, he doesn't want to go on loan again and he shouldn't have to if we're looking at players like Moses. It's not out of sentimentality, not for me anyway (I'm not sentimental about any youngsters, I have serious doubts over Josh for example), he really is a good player and deserves a chance.
  6. I think someone was pulling your leg mate, Meireles has never been creative in his life.
  7. He's been at Wigan for two seasons and has been poor in all of them bar towards the end of last season (Anyone who says he had a great season is most likely a deluded Wigan fan). Wasn't even half a season he was good in either, it was like a quarter; only a handful of games and based off that he's all of a sudden good enough for Chelsea? Bags of potential is stretching it and you're actually being rather kind. His passing is dreadful for a "winger", he can't cross and he can't finish. He can't do anything apart from running and doing a few basic stepovers. To put it into perspective, he's not better than Kakuta who also players left wing and yet we're willing to sell/loan him? Makes no sense to me, Kakuta is better is pretty much every aspect. He played in a team fighting relegation, much like Moses did for Wigan, and performed better in 12 games than Moses has in his whole career. Not to even mention that Kakuta is younger is well. The harm is our talented youngsters like Kakuta leaving after not getting opportunities. You say he wouldn't start or play often, so why bother getting him? We could reserve that space for players like Kakuta. I can't wait for the FFP to be honest, someone needs to stop whoever is in charge of transfers from buying unnesscary players that force out our youngsters.
  8. I doubt he would leave this season but if he was to join United I would be devastated.
  9. No, just no. He is had a decent end to the season and people are hyping him up so bad. If we wanted someone with raw pace and strength and not much else I would rather we kept Lukaku and gave him games. Much younger and can actually finish.
  10. I hope this is a sick joke.
  11. I think, like quite a few of our youngsters, that he could quite easily make it. Just a shame that he, as well as the others, will never be given a chance. Quite frankly, I'm still surprised we can attract quality youngsters considering the lack of opportunities given.
  12. Great as in better than his normal performances over the past seasons, he is improving slowly. And I agree, never said I wanted him.
  13. Kaka has had a great season actually.
  14. Sahin will most likely be gotten rid off if they did get Modric. Sahin was suppose to do Modric's job but hasn't lived up to the hype. Modric would also get in ahead of Khedira so it's not really a problem. He would be a starter for Madrid, him and Alonso.
  15. He should do well. Reckon he may need to overhaul the defence though, like getting 2 centre backs. I personally don't think Modric and Bale will leave but even they do I can think of quite a few replacements he could get with their sale that will do just as well as those two.
  16. Think I've made my views on this guy quite clear. So to sum up the important points; - can only play CAM, average elsewhere - has no individual drive, when the team are playing poorly you look to players like him to make things happen but he can't do that - surprisingly easy to mark out of a match I don't think his attutidue is that bad to be honest but then again I paid more attention to him on the field as opposed as off it.
  17. If Ivan was to leave, I would rather get a defensively solid RB to replace him rather than an attacking one. None come to mind right now mind you but Walker isn't one.
  18. Would be better off with Lukaku to be honest.
  19. They didn't decline, he had some kind of medical issue. I can't remember all the details but all I know is that he failed medicals As for Pompey, they couldn't afford the fee Benfica were asking for, wasn't like they didn't want him. With Valencia, he was a key player then he got injured and was just dropped for reasons I can't recall. Not his fault he's not had the chance to showcase his talents at high levels, even worse now Besiktas can't play in Europe (Season before last in europe he played really well, was one of their best players). If Bento had called him up to the Portugal squad I'm sure many people would see that he is extremely talented and there would be much more interest. To me he's a lot more than alright, alright to me means a generic player with no standout qualities. Like Henderson. That's far from Fernandes ability, he's got so much to his game. Fair enough if that's your opinion though. Although all this is kinda moot, just saw that the Besiktas chairman said he's not looking to sell him which is a shame.
  20. Was more than alright, did really well considering his age at the time. He's been fantastic and played consistently well for the past 2 and a half seasons. Plays like Romeu (when he was on form) but with a lot more trickery and quicker passing. He's really cocky on the ball, it's great to watch. Does stuff like rainbow flicks over strikers, etc.He won't cost a penny apart from wages, he's available on a free transfer. Left cause Bekitas didn't pay his wages I believe. Even if that wasn't the case he wouldn't cost much, probably only £10m. I would be seriously disappointed if QPR or Sunderland got him.
  21. I hope he uses the youngsters more than he did before. I know he was in charge for a short time but he barely used them when the opportunity presented itself. That's the only downside for me really, although with something like a potential 70+ games I would it very odd if they didn't feature prominently.
  22. Veloso is extremely average, I wouldn't touch him with a bar pole if I was you. Manuel Fernandes however is a class player and ten times better than Veloso.
  23. So frustrating support Portugal with this clown of a manager in charge. Varela is understandable at times but constantly leaving out Quaresma despite him being our best player after Ronaldo is just plain wrong. I'm convinced he has something against him. Even Varela is better than Nani, only thing Nani offers more is passing. Varela has much better movement, finishing, etc. And the mid three is just wow, seriously. Veloso is bad enough but including Meireles is an abomination. Not calling up Manuel Fernandes, our best DM, is baffling. Not even happy about the win, it's pathetic. Sooner Bento is gone the better.
  24. Them going into Division 3 could potentially breathe new life into Scottish football. Why? They would probably have to start at the very bottom, would take them a decade, if lucky, before they can get anywhere near league 1. Whereas in it would only take a lot less than that for them be to back in the SPL, not to mention it's their history and where they belong.
  25. Attacking mid, almost as another striker at times. Only really goes out wide when there's lots of bodies back.
