- Will we sign a striker?
Mauro Icardi is the man we want. Doesn't get involved in a lot the build up at Inter, possibly because of the personnel they have. He's absolutely lethal in front of goal, easily top 3 finishers in the world. Inter are having issues renewing his contract and he may leave at the end of the season but we'd have to cough up £100m. Him and Fekir are exactly what we're missing in attack, a left footer who can cut in and a clinical finisher. Unfortunately, my concern is they'll be bought to replace Hazard not to play with him. I've heard our revenue has gone up massively for this season according to Jake Cohen which hopefully means we'll spend but that remains to be seen. Would take Higuain but his decline is there to see. Still a good finisher of the ball, mind you.- Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Teams aren't really pressing us and that usually why Jorginho would be in the team, so he can build up from the back. Leicester today just sat off as a lot of teams have done and that makes his role less effective.- Chelsea v Leicester City (PL) Sat 22nd Dec 15:00 UK
He's the last person you can blame. Look at the amount of dross around him, he can't win us every single match. Willian, Pedro, Giroud, Kovacic, Kante and Morata all need to step up massively.- Jose
José was easily the best manager in the world when he managed Porto, us and then Inter. He peaked in 2008/09 when he won the treble, beating Pep's Barcelona on the way with Inter. Something changed at Real Madrid, his invincibility aura around him had gone. He's never been the same manager since then. Yes, he has his moments and he did win the league with us during 14/15 but on the whole, his last 5/6 years as a manager have been close to disasturous. Sacked by Real, Chelsea and United. You can't discredit him for the achievments between 04-07 for us, he was magnificent and built a solid platform that ended up winning us the CL in 2012.- Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Starting to love him more than my family, it's got to that stage- Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Real are in transition now Zidane and Cristiano have left. Ramos will be 33, Modric 34, Marcelo 32, Benzema 31, Bale 30. Not to mention the likes of Isco & Asensio are unhappy with playing time already. He should have gone to Madrid a few years ago. If he moves there now, it will be a big mistake.- Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I've said it for years, Hazard isn't going to leave Chelsea. I think he's too settled. His family are happy in London and he's extremely popular at the club.- Marcos Alonso
Could have been sent off today. He's being targeted by the opposition due to his lack of pace and his passing is atrocious. Needs to be dropped.- That Sterling Incident
That is shocking. Our owner is jewish!- That Sterling Incident
Saw this online... Chelsea have themselves drafted in lip-reading experts to help them analyse the footage and are passing on their evidence to police, which is expected to form part of the investigation. Police are also thought to be using their own lip-readers. Forensic speechreading company 121 Captions have worked with the Metropolitan Police, Crown Prosecution Service and The National Crime Agency. After watching the footage, one of their experts said Colin shouted "you f***ing Manc c***, f*** you, you d***head" at Sterling. Another expert, Terry Ruane, who has helped police investigations by examining CCTV footage for clues, watched the clip at least 20 times. "The only way to distinguish between ‘black’ and ‘Manc’ is if you see the tongue movement in ‘black’. "I have reviewed this at least 20 times and I just can’t catch the tongue which would prove he definitely did say ‘black’." "My feeling is he did indeed say ‘f***ing Manc c***’ – however ‘Manc’ is said in such an offensive way that makes it almost look like ‘w***’. “Additionally, I don’t think anybody who isn’t an experienced lip-reader would think there was a similarity between ‘black’ and ‘Manc’. “So it is quite possible that he did genuinely say ‘Manc’."- Chelsea v Man City (PL) Sat 8th Dec 17:30 UK
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Has to start over Barkley and Kovacic. More of a goal threat than Kovacic, better on the ball than Barkley.- Alvaro Morata
Embarassing today. Terrible attitude when he came on.- Callum Hudson-Odoi
Rather him show a bit of overconfidence than do what a lot of youth players do and let the game pass them by. If anything, it's a good thing that he's willing to show he's capable. Brilliant talent, must keep him.- Cesc Fabregas
You know that, I know physically he's on the decline and will probably be leaving us next season but his quality on the ball is unquestionable. Some of the passes that he was playing yesterday were exquisite. Brilliant performance.- Maurizio Sarri Officially Appointed
He's right, though.- Tottenham V Chelsea (PL) Sat 24th Nov 17:30 UK
Kepa was definietly not the reason we lost this game. In fact, he was the only bright spot of an appalling performance.- David Luiz back at Chelsea
Back to his old ways, can't defend and has never been good in a back 4. Admittedly, he was left exposed by the midfield but he has nearly cost us in so many games this season. Deserves to be dropped. Conte was spot on about him and Willian.- Tottenham V Chelsea (PL) Sat 24th Nov 17:30 UK
Probably the only time that we'll ever have the whole of the country's support on our side- Mateo Kovačić
It's not arrogant at all to think we need a more attacking outlet against lesser opposition. Yes, we may get pinched on the counter but we'll also do a lot more going forward. I'm one of Kante's biggest fan but it seems against lesser sides, he doesn't have the desired effect as we control the ball more, especially under Sarri.- Maurizio Sarri Officially Appointed
Jorginho IS the system. If he was to get injured, we would be in serious trouble.- Mateo Kovačić
Do we need Kante against smaller opposition? That's the next conundrum.- Alvaro Morata
His movement was sensational today. First goal was impressive. Should have buried the second chance. Hart made a fantastic stop on the third one, he was unlucky there. He brought others into play and had an all round good game. Best game of the season for him.- Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
He won't leave, imo. - Will we sign a striker?
