Yeah i'd say Rafa coming has probably harmed Torres more than helped him, I don't think he ever got booed before games before the fatman took charge, now its sadly a weekly event. Not at all, Mazacar and Moses can still put on a good show. Watch games involving Stoke/West Ham/Norwich/Villa/QPR and you'll see what truly boring football looks like.

He plays well in games where we park the bus so that he only needs to be responsible for a small area of the field because our whole team is so compact, such as the CL games last year. Aside from that he is useless. That pretty much sums up the pros and cons of Jon Obi Mikel.

I disagree, Cahill is definitely quicker than Iva or JT, obviously he's not going to win a race against Walcott or Aguero, but the majority of EPL strikers he should be quick enough to keep up with them, I haven't seen forwards getting in behind him frequently. As for being poor on the ball, I'm pretty sure he was a center midfielder while at Villa so i'm not sure thats true either.

What a load of bollocks. Ramires may have been complete sh*te in the game but he was probably attempting to do more than anyone else on the pitch, was always looking for the ball and making runs, and would have been through on goal if Ivanovic hadn't played the ball too early when it was 2v1 against Kolo. I'm not saying this means he played well but at least you can see he has a purpose on the field. Lamps was dictating the game from deep and playing some decent passes up field to the wingers, granted it wasn't his best game either but given his recent goalscoring and assists record you can't say he doesn't contribute. As for Mikel, I have no idea what he was doing the entire game. Every time he got the ball he'd hold onto it until he got closed down, then pass it to whoever was closest to him. He's the one thats supposed to be closing Yaya and Rodwell down yet both of them were allowed to walk the ball all the way to the edge of the box before he tried to do anything about it. Then there was his complete lack of any sort of defensive or mental capabilities when he let Yaya jog past him in the 6 yard box and tap it in, the man that HE is supposed to be marking and preventing from doing things. As for your comment about City scoring as soon as Mikel went off, it was pretty obvious that we were just throwing everything forward at that stage, so to imply that we fell apart due to a lack of Mikel doing whatever he actually does in matches is blatantly ridiculous. I understand you're probably Nigerian and love Mikel, but can't you just start supporting Moses instead and get over the illusion that Mikel contributes anything more than keeping a more competent player off the pitch.

Team i'd go for ---------Cech Azpi - JT - Cahill - Bertrand -----Ramires - Luiz --Marin - Oscar - Hazard --------------Ba Frank clearly needs a rest, Mikel shouldn't be allowed near the first team for quite a while, Ramires only there because it gives an excuse to rest him for Lamps on the weekend. May as well give Mata a rest too and let Oscar show off what he can do in the #10 role again, he's put in some great performances lately.

We'll send you Torres and Mikel on loan for free on the condition neither of them have to come back.

Oscar hasn't been great in the league for much of the season, although to be fair it normally takes Brazilians time to adjust to the EPL and he's very young, but I wouldn't say he's been consistently good, definitely shown flashes of his brilliance though and I think he'll be an amazing player. Azpi fair point, he had a bit of a nightmare in the CWC final but for the most part he's been very good. Ash hasn't really done anything wrong this season and has made some great tackles and blocks, but as highlighted yesterday when Iva was the only fullback trying to do things up the field, his offensive contribution has been lacking this season, and for fullback's these days that's nearly as important as the defensive aspect (which he is still the best in the league by a country mile at). Lamps was pretty bad before he got that injury in the first few months of the season, he's been great since he's come back but yeah.

Although I don't believe it, i'm hoping that he was just rusty after 6 weeks of playing against sub-par opposition at ACON and will be slightly less useless next time he plays.

Fortunately the team we're up against for 4th is the only team capable of f**king up a season worse than us.

Anyone who saw the way Torres ran rings around Vidic and Rio a few years back knows how good he really once was. If he played for us as well as he did at his peak, 50m wouldn't have been a bad deal.

Only players that had decent games, in order: Cahill Cech Hazard Ash Mata everyone else was terrible or anonymous

Has anyone really had a consistently good season apart from Mata and Cech? I find it hard to single people out except people that have been obviously useless for ages like Torres or Mikel, because we've seen that under the right manager these players are world beaters.

Didn't do any less than he normally does, in fact as he wasn't falling over ever 5 minutes you could say it was a good 80 minutes from him.
