So when we're not in possession and defending in our box, who is the man left up on the half way line? Mata? He'd probably do an even worse job of holding up the ball than Torres because of his size, and I think he's actually probably slower. To do this it would mean all our attacks become slow unless Hazard or Moses can get up ahead of Mata soon enough, otherwise we'd have to build up all our attacks slowly and give them a chance to set their defence, which we couldn't score against for 80 minutes. I think if anyone is to be a false 9 it should be Hazard who is actually more similar to Messi than Mata is, however we tried it against Juve and it didn't really work. That being said away against Juve who hadn't lost a game in like 2 years isn't the easiest place to try a new formation, so I wouldn't object to something like: ------------Cech Azpi - Cahill - JT - Ash -------------Luiz ---Ramires----Lampard --Mata---Hazard------Moses

Italian football is in an awful state because of years of corruption and bribery, plus the economy going to sh*t and the quality of the play really going down, a few years ago you'd struggle to find an empty seat in those games. Luton vs Millwall was a lot like Celtic vs Juventus, Luton had a lot of the ball and worked really hard, but couldn't convert, while Millwall were happy to just sit back and scored 3 goals on the counter. Good game though.

I think that's a front runner for most boring game of the season, Marin was making the most happen while on the field but Oscar is the only one that showed any sort of quality whatsoever in front of goal so i'll give it to him.

They had one like that on the official site during the off-season, a replica of the ones the players wore in the final with the date and name of the teams in small writing in that same spot. Honestly didn't see him do anything fantastic, I thought Celtic's good performance for 80 or so minutes of that game was due to the hard work in pressing of the Celtic players as a whole, which isn't something they could probably do regularly. That being said we need a player in that positions and theres a lack of quality options in world football in that role right now, and the ones that are quality are getting on and/or probably wouldn't come.

Every player should be like that and there's a time when they were, right now it's difficult because of the totally uninspiring man leading them (FSW).
