Phillip
I voted for Drogba. Anyone who votes for a defenseman needs to have their head examined.
Plavi26
Didier for me, since him and lampard came out, we had no offence at all. Deco is really really poor, he didn't seem to be able to make a touch on the ball. And for the defense, I still believe Ivanovic had a good game, even in the last 15, all three goals came from the middle or Coles side. Orangutan
Went for Lampard as I firmly believe that his removal was the reason for the collapse. Lampard and Essien anchor the midfield. Today, Chelsea got on without Essien well enough as they had when he was injured, but as soon as Lampard went out, the midfield lost control. And he had a pretty nice game in other senses as well. Great service for the second goal. Took the penalty well.

Virosh
Drogba all the way. A constant threat uprfront, a tireless display, crowned by two scrappy goals. Lampard made too many mistakes in the first half to be my choice.

Mr Chelsea
i give it Deco for his last minute goal line clearance thought drogba was awesome, and had it not been for deco's clearance drogba would have got it hands down
g3.7
Phew!Kalou for me - played very well until the entre team collapsed in the last 25 minutes. really? I thought he was spectacularly wasteful. tried to dribble to much, rarely beat his man, passing and crossing typically woeful. joe cole in that position and we could have had 8 goals. such a wasteful player, aside from cech and carvalho's unwanted comedy he was an excellent candidate for the worst player on the pitch for either side. felt our best players were ballack, ivanovic and drogba. we missed the latter a lot when he went off (lampard's substitution was farily inconsequential in relation to the goals conceded). we played a 4231 again, and while lamps' first touch is much softer these days it's still not an ideal position for him IMO, and unlike the liverpool game it wasn't as if he had to press a deep lying player to stop bolton playing. loz
Kalou beat his man plenty of times. It was actually one of the first times I have seen him take on players and look confident about it. I thought he was our main threat in the first half, not so much form a goal scoting perspective but certainly from the perspective of where a chance would be created from. g3.7
well I thought he had a shocker against one of the worst fullbacks in the league. jesper would have been less wasteful.

This is spot on and he also did this on Wednesday night. I gave my MOM to Drogba, i thought his overall contribution was a major factor why we did go 4-0 up in the first place. I also think that he will be the difference on Tues.

I disagree with you here. I thought Kalou was pretty good today, and has been on a rich vein of form of late (at least by his standards). He beat his man on a number of occasions, but I do agree with you on the crossing... Although the entire team turned to sh*te after Lampard and Drogba went off ("We're a two man team... we're a two man team..."), I thought Ballack was pretty good today. He looked lively, and created a number of chances, and was even in a good enough position to finish for our first. I thought Ivanovic was pretty poor though. He was caught out of position a few times, and some of his challenges were ineffective. I definitely saw the Ivanovic who played against Newcastle out there today rather than the titan who took down Liverpool.
blueday3
I went for Ballack, thought he played quite well today, especially after he scored he seemed to get some confidence back. He committed far fewer fouls today, and wasn't wasting passes.

loz
Drogba, the only player, in our team who is irreplaceable at the moment. I think Lampard falls into that category as well - nobody else in our squad can do the job he does. It is a mark of how good he is that when he has a reaosnable performance rather than a great one he gets criticised.
just
I hear what you're saying Loz, and I guess you could also make an argument for Essien as well. I think he's everybit as important as Lampard. No other player has his energy, drive, tackling and power. I just hope all three are fit and available for Tuesday.

loz
Barring freak accidents they should be. Essien was just rested yesterday an Drogba and Lamps looked fine. I would have the three of the sitting at hime with their feet up between now and then! Thank God that Ben Haim doesn't train with us anymore. Nothing like a good kick in the face to get you ready for the biggest game of the season. Edit - Didn't Maka also injure Cole before the CL final last year.
