Chippy
I wouldn't mind seeing Glen back with us but that is certainly a lot of money..Tevez would be a great asset though in my opinion.
rahul
If our first signing is Glen Johnson, I'd switch my attention off of football for the summer and go back to playing tribal wars....or some such sh*t.

I'm concentrating on football, but I'm switching away from Chelsea during this month. There's the local league over here, U-21 European Championships and Confederations Cup. The signal to noise ratio in transfer rumors is so poor that it's just better to read the official announcements when the players actually get signed. evissy
Glen Johnson looked really good in his last game for England.....against the mighty Andorra. 18mill(!!) and we have better player in Bosingwa. Have we already sold Bosingwa or what the h*ll is this?? I would actually be very disappointed if we managed to gain some money by selling Boss and buying Johnson.. Signing Tevez in front of Scum and City would be great. I would really love to see him in Chelsea blue. Great player and very exciting to watch. Looks like we are selling Carvalho and Deco. I think it is a good move from us. We need to keep Alex and Ivanovic happy as I think we can rely on them in the future too. Just think how good centerbacks we have..I also like the fact that Carvalho and Deco can reunite with Jose. Hope we dont face them in CL though. evissy
Do you mean Tevez will join us or that we'll just talk with him? Reports say Tevez will meet Chelsea, Scum, City representatives today or early this week. Reports also say he will discuss with some teams from Spain and Italy too. So he is in the open market. I just fear that very every day things will decide him to choose some other team than Chelsea. I dont think he will go to City as they dont play in CL but Scum is probably very interesting for him. They all speak his native language there and he could pair up with Torres. In Chelsea spanish is not the language and there is a fear that if Drogs stay he wont play any more he played for Manu. Spain would naturally be a good choice for him language and culturewise... Don't know really where he will end up but I sure hope it is Chelsea. midlandblue
Tevez would be a great addition to our attacking game (depends on cost of course) Johnson I'm not so sure about, yes he's a sound defender, yes he has improved since he left and yes he could continue to improve, but spending £18 million on a postion we are far from weak makes no sense if it detracts us from spending big money on areas we do need players. If there is no limit to our spending this summer then yes Johnson would be a fine addition, But if spending that money on Johnson means we dont have the funds for lets say a world class winger, then no. Star
Do you mean Tevez will join us or that we'll just talk with him? We are talking to him, along with 'other clubs' ('according to sky') Like everyone I guess signing Tevez would not only be a major coup but would blood the noses of Manure fans, Liverpool and the pretenders in Man City. Like I said years ago anyway, Tevez could and should have been signed before he went to West Ham, but we chose to sign Shevchenko at our cost. It's on sky now about Deco and Carvalho. I reckon Johnson will end up at Liverpool but if Man City manage to nick Tevez don't be surprised if he goes there. One thing is for sure, if we do get Tevez I will give Kenyon a bit of credit , for it will be negotiating nouse that will get him. Portsmouth fans and both Terry and Ashley Cole have been raving about the improvement in Johnsen, sure the recommendation has also came Ancellotti's way from Capello, I for one am not going to argue about that but will use the right not to endorse it, unless of course as i've said before Bosingwa is part of a carrot to nail Ribery. Ribery Drogba Tevez looks bloody good to me.
fester
Have we already sold Bosingwa or what the h*ll is this?? That's the only way a move for Johnson at a £14M loss (he was sold for £4M) makes any sense to me.

blizeH
I reckon Tevez will go to City too. I think he'd be a great signing, and would welcome him for sure, but signing Tevez would mean (IMO) we wouldn't get Aguero, so...

Tim
Happy enough with Riccy and Deco leaving, as long as we get decent money for them. Can't see the combined fee being over 12M though, but hope we get more like 15 +. Not keen on Glen to be honest - good player, but hardly an area on which we need to spend even more money! Tevez....would be happy enough, but prefer Pato/Aguero/Ribery to be honest. He has a great attitude, but can be a bit headless chicken at times and doesn't score enough for me. Dorset
According to Sky ‘conjecture has implied’ that Tevez could view City as his preferred destination. This resorting to complete gobbledegook just to get the northern club into pole position in the race to sign him up is, far as I’m concerned, also ‘conjecture that implies’ Sky makes most of it up as it goes along. Incidentally, hasn’t Tevez already stated, through his agent, his preference to join a club playing Champions League football and didn’t Joorabchian also say that Tevez‘s next move would be down to what he wants first and foremost rather than being subject to the financial whims of the consortium that ‘owns‘ him? andy
Would love Glenn Back.. Soxy mark II .. should never of gone in the first place despite his defensive qualities.. he had a brilliant first season with us. But I agree the money is a bit steep for a position already filled. Although Bossy had some dodgey moments during the season. Deco.. see ya, thanks for having a go.. and someone once told me he was better than Joe Cole... paaa !!! - not even in his 'day' Riccy.. sad to see him leave but now number 2 to Alex and at 31.. thanks for the excellent service and the trophies Riccy and good luck in Italy. I like the fact that some people (including myself at one point) used to think that the other defender always made JT look good... Funny how he has formed partnerships with whoever has come along Tevez.. Should be playing CL.. so if we are in for him then good but I don't think we are for some reason, I am sure Slurr Alex don't want him coming back to haunt him so will use is massive influnce. kalpitv
They'll leave the club with all my blessings. They are past their prime or as they themselves might want to call it, "End of a cycle, Time for a new beginning". As long as we get around 15 million pounds for the two, I'll be happy. BLUENUT
Ivanovic, Belletti, Ferriera, Mancienne, Boswinga, even Essien plays there when needed..........who's identified us as a club who need's a new a right back? - Who is no better at defending than any of those mentioned above?"!?!! Who is targeting and signing our players? Probably the same half a dozen hangers on, agents, and advisers who brought Johnson to the club in the first place! I've said the club has been run like a joke for about the past 3 years, transferes like this tend to prove me right, especially when the one area we DO NOT NEED TO STRENGTHEN is our right hand side. Now left backs..............there's another question!!!??
