GALLAGHER: I DON`T WANT TERRY AT CITY

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has exclusively told F365 that he doesn't want Man City to sign John Terry because he's a Cockney cry baby.

City might be willing to shell out £30m for the England captain but massive fan Gallagher would rather they signed Joleon Lescott.

"I don't like John Terry and I never have," Gallagher told F365. "He's got funny eyes and he's a cry baby.

"He's also a Cockney and he'd absolutely be coming just for the money."

Gallagher would also pass on a move for Emmenual Adebayor, saying: "I hope it falls through.

"I have always had a great dislike for Adebayor. I don't like all that silly dancing by the corner flag - I prefer a swift handshake and back to the game.

"We've got Roque Santa Cruz who can do a job in the same position."

When asked which footballer Mark Hughes should target next, Gallagher said pragmatically: "Joleon Lescott - he's a good centre half who's getting better. Either him or Matty Upson would do for me."

I actually thought this was hilarious as it just makes him look like such a twat.

Honestly, 'he's got funny eyes and is a crybaby' is the sort of insult you expect from a 8 year old, not a middle aged man.

Furthermore, 'he'd be coming just for the money' - what whereas all the other players are being paid peanuts but have come for the love of the project?

I'm with Plok here - what I think Oasis does is record a learning guitarist practising his Beatles songbook exercises and then the record company puts some lyrics and a drum and bass track to it.

Dire derivative and drony are just three of the words beginning with 'D' that apply to Gallagher, both the man and his "music"

I think it sums it up pretty well that 14 out of 18 songs on Stop the Clocks are from the first two albums or the b-side's of the singles from the first two albums. They've included just four songs from the rest of the four albums that had been released before the compilation and they'd rather put b-sides to their older singles on their best of compilation than have even one song from Be Here Now. Trying to rewrite history? Can't blame them, though. Be Here Now is awful.

Noel Gallagher is one of the funniest blokes involved in the music industry. I'm sure this is pretty tongue in cheek and sarcy - just as many of his comments have been over the years - particularly about his own brother!!
