December 20, 201015 yr O Brother Where Art Thou? Clooney's best film and a good laugh, brilliant actually and you should watch if if you have not seen it yet!
December 25, 201015 yr I finally saw Inception tonight. I have to side with moi and yb on this one; it was entertaining enough but the plot had more gaping holes than the Liverpool FC arse calendar. I'm not entirely sure why anyone would describe the film as clever. It was nowhere near good enough to be compared to some of the all-time greats.

I am a good cook!
December 25, 201015 yr Joe, I am disappoint. I watched Memento in the car up to my grandparents last night, it's superb. Absolutely brilliant film, I loved it. Why aren't more films told with a time line like that?!
December 26, 201015 yr O Brother Where Art Thou? Clooney's best film and a good laugh, brilliant actually and you should watch if if you have not seen it yet! Certainly is hilarious, though as Cohen Brothers films go it's not as funny as the Big Lebowski which I could just watch over and over again. Black Swan. Great. I enjoyed this as well, I'm a big fan of Darren Aranofsky he's such a good director, though his films are rarely uplifting in anyway. The Wrestler was difficult to get through. Had a look at another Natalie Portman film last night, Brothers with Tobey Maquire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Was maybe a bit over the top in parts but in general I thought it was a really solid moving story. Edited December 26, 201015 yr by Spiller86

Never seen him as a great actor and the movie seems to require it.
December 26, 201015 yr How was Maguire? I've been interested in seeing it but somehow Maguire felt wrong. Never seen him as a great actor and the movie seems to require it. It's not an easy role and I'm with you he wouldn't have been the first guy I'd have picked for it. But he does well even if he overacts a little in the climactic scene.
December 26, 201015 yr A Christmas Story, the original Star Wars trilogy (New Hope, Empire, Jedi), then about 3-5am this morning I watched My Cousin Vinny. I'd been the designated driver for Chrismas, so by the time I got home I was wired on Coffee, so sat up watching films and having a beer. Merry Christmas to you all
December 27, 201015 yr I love you, Joe! Can I adopt you, please? I am a good cook! Well even if I didn't want you to adopt me apparently you can literally venture into my thoughts and trigger me into thinking what you want. But don't die in there or you'll go to limbo... or you might just wake up.
December 29, 201015 yr I'm watching Zulu as we speak :) Cracking film, Gromit! And ideal Christmas week fare!
December 31, 201015 yr Little Fockers ...classic case of a movie in the series too far. Got the 70s mini series on dvd at xmas Centennial, still a great watch and story.
January 1, 201115 yr Just watched Star Trek, the latest one. Makes me antsy for the next one to come out, whenever it does.
January 2, 201115 yr Had a look at Toy Story 3 last night. Terribly sad film, made me feel all nostalgic.
January 2, 201115 yr I watched Toy Story with my ex-girlfriend.(then we were a relationship of course) :D She was very touched while watching :D Edited January 2, 201115 yr by Mikstaw
January 2, 201115 yr I watched Toy Story with my ex-girlfriend.(then we were a relationship of course) :D She was very touched while watching :D Dirty bar steward! I just watched The Expendables, and was a good bit of pointless violence... which is what I was expecting.
January 2, 201115 yr Dirty bar steward! I just watched The Expendables, and was a good bit of pointless violence... which is what I was expecting. Yes, with actors like Stallone and Lundgren you hardly expect Shakespeare
January 2, 201115 yr Yes, with actors like Stallone and Lundgren you hardly expect Shakespeare Lundgren is a god, he got the f**king fullbright scholarship to go to MIT (I think it was MIT) to do a masters in chemical engineering. I am of the fervent belief that if him and Natalie Portman (was at Harvard doing a masters in psychology and is fluent in 3 languages) had a kid, we'd see the next step in human evolution right there... Also, I'd pay good money to watch Stallone mumble his way through some Shakespeare. :D Edited January 2, 201115 yr by Eggy McMuffin
January 2, 201115 yr Last night we watched Last of the Mohicans and a newish Jackie Chan film called Little Big Soldier. I didn't expect a great deal from the latter, but it turned out to be hilarious from start and had a touching (if not a little rushed) ending.
January 2, 201115 yr "Requiem for a Heavyweight" Great acting from Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason and Mickey Rooney.
