I think Hilario and Turnbull are very good backups. Especially Turnbull seems to be solid.

Of course losing Cech is always bad for the club, but CFC said it was an injury in the calf (i believe). If thats true, then its not really that serious and im quite sure he'll be ready for the community shield. We should be worried, but im sure its not that serious.

Love how Cech `being injuredis now worried about, the lad showed he is still up there after two average seasons.

But..........

Sure Hilario and Turnbull dont fill the world class boots but they have done a job and will when needed. Imagine having Almunia first choice, Foster to call upon upon or being Lpool without Reina. We are Lucky, only City rival us for keepers. Weird tradition we have of having top keepers.

f**ks sake, after the injuries last seasons (yes topdrogs, we did have injuries) I hoped we would have a better run this one.

That is sh*t news, it really is. At least Turnbull has the time to get himself mentally and physically ready to step in, rather than being thrust in at the last minute.

at least the fixtures are kind, hilario has done wellish for a 3rd choice keeper, not keen on turnbull, wasnt good for middlesbrough, n hasnt been good for us, awful for the reserves in fact. was hoping we'd bring in sum 1 else, Kalac looked good against spain made a couple of great saves, maybe cud hav done better for 2nd goal if to be ultra critical. wud prefer us to sell hilario n turnbull, n sign expierience back up, who can deal wit balls into the box which seems to be our main weakness when cechs out. kalac n rhys taylor cud battle for 3rd choice. any suggestions? James for a season?

Home to West Brom and Wigan away, which could be a bit tricky, but I'm confident the team is able to handle it.

He's definitely out for the Community Shield but hopefully he'll be back in time for the away fixture against Man City. I feel that's the only fixture in August and September that we really need him for.

Apparently, it's a similar injury to the one he suffered at Inter.
