How on earth did we lose that?

Sky are putting it down to the keeper:

Fabulous Foster denies Chelsea

And it's difficult to argue. As I wrote in the Match thread, on another day, we'd have battered Birmingham out of sight.

My vote went to Mikel by the way.

Mikel for me as well, he even showed some tricky feet at one stage.

Wasnt it Mikel who lost Boywer for the goal ? Cant really consider him for the vote. Though i have no doubt he will walk it.

Tough call this, i'll go for Alex.

just about to add that Bjd...that's two games in a row that Mikel's woeful defending has cost us the crucial opening goal...may have played well for the rest of the game, but his lapses in concentration are proving costly

Went for Malouda. Our performance was a huge improvement on last week's, we shored up the midfield and I think that Malouda replacing Zhirkov was a big part of that. He was a great link between attack and defence and hopefully means the Zhirkov - Ramires partnership in centre mid will never happen again.

Delighted to be back following three months in Haiti. Disappointed with today's result. I agree with those who picked Mikel as MOM. I'm amazed at our poor recent performances and very disappointed that Terry, and Lamps are out injured. I thought we were unlucky not to have scored a few times today. However, we are still at the top of the table but purely on a goal difference. I don't know what's going on behind closed doors and was shocked to hear of Ray Wilkin's dismissal.

However, I am the eternal optomist and believe there are better days ahead. Onwards and Upwards, Chelsea!

The goal was mainly Alex's fault but anything to slag off Mikel eh?

There may, just may have been a hint of sarcasm in my nomination.

Malouda. I seriously hope that if we have the same players as last week against Sunderland then Ancelotti will opt for Malouda in the middle with Zhirkov out wide. Zhirkov/Ramires combo is a disaster and Malouda really stepped up today.

The goal was obviously Paulo's fault - Malouda was MOM he created 11 chances a record so far this season

And not 1 them converted....was it worth flogging your guts out for Flomo, methinks.

Who in their right mind would vote for Kalou? Cmon.

I voted for him, he was the livliest player on the park, his feet are so quick, he creates mayhem in the opposition box, and isnt scared to shoot.

"He isn't scared to shoot." Ha ha ha. Ya right at the keeper or way over the goal when there is an open net. Ya, defeat are so quick but he can't beat a keeper one on one. Good one.

Drogba missed the best chance, a sitter compared to any chance Kalou had.

I can see why fans get frustrated with him, but he's a talented player imo.

kalou nomination must be a joke...................calamity kalou more like

drogba much better (especially first half)

malouda brilliant whole game, and ash, and ivan

but for me MIKEL was top notch and kept the whole team driving on

MIKEL gets my vote

Mikel by a mile.

How anyone could select any of our forward line is beyond me. I guest people see things differently.
