I don't think thats cheap for his standard, he is ok, nothing to set alight the prem. Would rather invest that 15 in a winger.

but apparently modric quoted after the game with the ROI as saying he hopes R Keane stays at spurs as he wants him to stay part of the squad..................hmmmm...what does that mean for modric??....sounds to me like he's staying this year with spurs!!!!!!

From the little I know of the player, I tend to agree with you.

I think the story first appeared in the Mail a few days ago (posted earlier in this thread). Difficult to say whether the Mail picked up on Twitter rumours or vice versa.

Maybe AVB sees him playing LW?

Is he, Pereira, a left wing back? If so what does that mean for PVA etc who we all felt were comming through as Ashley's replacement?

If he can play wing, then that's fine by me as it would mean a bit of competition for Flo Mo.

I'd have a bad feeling Perreira would be another Zhirkov waiting to happen. I think it would also be bad for Bertrand and PVA as he'd go in front of them at left back as well.

If AVB is planning on bringing him in, its definitely not as an attacker imo.

I think you're right footballoholic, at no point did he play anywhere other than leftback under AVB at Porto (that's according to football-lineups.com, which is a handy little site BTW.)

I don't think I've seen an article all summer I'd like more to be wrong than the one Hutch posted earlier from the Mail. The departure of Alex would be very disappointing, and Perreira's signing would seem to be a like for like replacement for a guy who barely played for us for a substantial price that could be spent elsewhere.

I hope it's bollocks.

He does play left wing in a 4-4-2 for Uruguay I just found. Would give us a different option I guess. Seems a bit too much like Zhirkov if you ask me too.
