August 11, 201114 yr Why he can't even get in the inter team? He is good player, but we don't need another striker. He is also cheap, about 15 mil.
August 11, 201114 yr He is good player, but we don't need another striker. He is also cheap, about 15 mil. I don't think thats cheap for his standard, he is ok, nothing to set alight the prem. Would rather invest that 15 in a winger.

August 11, 201114 yr We have been linked with a Ghanian right back on sky sports. Not the year to sign ACN players I say.
August 11, 201114 yr Rumour section is a bad place to hang out. For ever getting my hopes up or having them dashed.
August 11, 201114 yr Rumour section is a bad place to hang out. For ever getting my hopes up or having them dashed. havn't read back over last few days pages... but apparently modric quoted after the game with the ROI as saying he hopes R Keane stays at spurs as he wants him to stay part of the squad..................hmmmm...what does that mean for modric??....sounds to me like he's staying this year with spurs!!!!!!
August 12, 201114 yr So were letting Yossi go? Probably our most creative player? f**king stupid Wait, what? Edited August 12, 201114 yr by footballoholic

Well, personally, I want Robbie Keane to stay with Spuds too, and I wish nothing but the f**king worst for them. So I wouldnt read too much into that!
August 12, 201114 yr Good article from the AVB presser. Definitely looks like we will add more before the window shuts. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11661_7095814,00.html
August 12, 201114 yr Pereira is a name that's been popping up a lot lately. The latest instalment, from the Mail. throws in "Juventus chasing Alex" for good measure: Chelsea ready to meet Pereira's £25m release cause as Juventus move for AlexChelsea are ready to offer £15.7million plus an unnamed player for Porto wing back Alvaro Pereira. The 25-year-old Uruguayan has a £25m release clause. Juventus, meanwhile, are to make a fresh bid for Chelsea defender Alex, 29. Juve would prefer a loan but Chelsea want £10m for the Brazilian. LINK

August 12, 201114 yr Been all over Twitter we have offered 18m plus a player , he looks a useful aquisition. From the little I know of the player, I tend to agree with you. I think the story first appeared in the Mail a few days ago (posted earlier in this thread). Difficult to say whether the Mail picked up on Twitter rumours or vice versa.
August 13, 201114 yr Is he, Pereira, a left wing back? If so what does that mean for PVA etc who we all felt were comming through as Ashley's replacement? If he can play wing, then that's fine by me as it would mean a bit of competition for Flo Mo.
August 13, 201114 yr I'd have a bad feeling Perreira would be another Zhirkov waiting to happen. I think it would also be bad for Bertrand and PVA as he'd go in front of them at left back as well.
August 13, 201114 yr If AVB is planning on bringing him in, its definitely not as an attacker imo. "Nobody in the Chelsea dressing room is under evaluation. We're assessing what we have in the market." Suggests that its bollocks. However if it was true, I'd say the unknown player was Paulo, but it still doesn't make any sense to me. August 13, 201114 yr I think you're right footballoholic, at no point did he play anywhere other than leftback under AVB at Porto (that's according to football-lineups.com, which is a handy little site BTW.) I don't think I've seen an article all summer I'd like more to be wrong than the one Hutch posted earlier from the Mail. The departure of Alex would be very disappointing, and Perreira's signing would seem to be a like for like replacement for a guy who barely played for us for a substantial price that could be spent elsewhere. I hope it's bollocks. Edited August 13, 201114 yr by Spiller86
August 13, 201114 yr He does play left wing in a 4-4-2 for Uruguay I just found. Would give us a different option I guess. Seems a bit too much like Zhirkov if you ask me too.
