programme cover for Chelsea v Italian U23 Team, Monday, 27th Oct 1975  Monday, 27th Oct 1975     A friendly game v the Italian U23 Team in the Prince Phillip Cup.

It ended 0-0 in front of 9,076 spectators.   I'd imagine every one was on their best behaviour that night at The Bridge. Players, staff, spectators and officials alike.

The Duke of Edinburgh presents the Prince Phillip Cup to Chelsea captain Ray Wilkins left, and Italian under 23's Captain at Stamford Bridge, London, after the 0-0 draw charity match in aid of the National Playing Fields.

The Italian U23 captain was  Francesco Graziani  and he appeared in all of Italy's matches in the 1982 World Cup Finals in Spain, as they beat West Germany 3-1 in the Final to win it for the third time in their history.

He won the Italian Championship  with Torino in 1975/76 and was the top division's top goal scorer the following season in 1976–77 scoring 21 goals.

Graziani left Torino in 1981, moving to Fiorentina for two seasons and he missed winning another Title in 1981/82 by a single point to Juventus

In 1983, he was signed by Roma, with whom he won the Coppa Italia twice, in 1984 and 1986,

He was a member of the Roma side that lost on penalties to Liverpool in the 1984 European Cup Final in Rome.

He missed a penalty in the shoot-out.

He'd a good record for Italy when he played for them at full International Level from 1975 - 83 playing 64 times, scoring 23 goals.

Highly unusual for a club side to play an international team ( albeit U21)

I can’t think of another example.

Could well be. I have no idea what the badge would be either !

Identifying the club badge on the shirt, would, obviously, help
