I always wondered if Kerry scored all the pens he actually missed,if he would have ,at the time broken the scoring record ?

going back to the Pompey game I recall we missed a load of pens before that game ,of course during that game and in the games that followed...we went on a horrible run of misses and tried a few different takers ,who all missed !!

Now that's a good shout !

19851228.jpg Saturday, 28th December 1985.    We beat Spuds 2-0 at The Bridge,

Our scorers: 'King Kerry' Dixon 19th min and Nigel, Spackman 62nd min with  a pen.

A crowd of  37,115 saw it.

No tv footage, as there was a domestic tv football ban at this stage of 1985/86 !

The great Sir Stanley Matthew  was playing for Stoke against us that day.

I just like the above programme cover for that match.

When did Palace change their club colours from Claret and Blue, to Red and Blue I wonder?

Must have been around ‘74 at a guess, maybe a bit earlier.   I like their old pinstripe/yellow collar kit as well as the one with the wide vertical claret and blue stripes down the middle.
