Great day although well over 30 years later still the worse thing I've ever eaten at football a hot dog stand outside the ground. I took one bite and chucked it at the spotty Manc twat who served it and got my money back.

 

There's more of these than I thought I'll post a few every few weeks there's some decent pics. Against Sunderland 1963, The Bridge 1949, 1952 first team vs reserves, and 67 cup final.

 

 

The second picture looks really high position for the east stand. Could it be back to front north stand pic?

Apparently the photo is from about 1970. Would fit in with the style of clothes being worn. Remember when the old West Stand closed in 1997 and fans trying to remove seats. A few were successful. I remember visiting the club shop in the close season and there was a load of seats from the West Stand stacked up outside. I should have pinched one. If I remember correctly the club put the seats on sale later in 1997 and for about £300 each. Is that correct?

Recently found footage remember the result had to wait for Radio 2 news at 10. I only found out that LBC used to cover London football about 1978 when I got my first transistor radio used to listen to John Peel as well how times have changed !

Ken Bates missed a trick as it was the company that demolished and cleared the site that restored them and sold them in singles up to four seats in a row.

Use to listen to LBC or Radio 2, use to do games midweek and the big show on a Saturday. Some of those people worked at grounds on Soccer Saturday for Sky.

Can't believe its been almost 15 years since. 

The level of quality we had in every position was outstanding. Shame VAR didn't exist as Rio was culpable of two penalties.

Mate no one wants to be reminded of that don't know why you would think anyone would want to see something that I personally have avoided for 14 years.

I appreciate historic moments and learned to take losses on the chin. It's a lot healthier.
