Can’t say I’ve heard of it- any good? Some of those burgers and hot dogs were rank. West Ham in 84. Very strange episode. Saw a bloke stick his hand in the steaming hot brine and nick half a dozen hot dogs whilst his mate grabbed a bag of buns. Off they ran to Fulham Broadway

Off they ran to Fulham Broadway It was a fans diary of a season 1992 maybe I do remember him mentioning Wallsall away in their new ground in the league cup. It's hard to describe not a paperback or fanzine something inbetween I bought it in Sportspages in the Charing Cross Rd don't think you could buy it outside the ground where the CISA had a stall. It was pretty good just a normal fans thoughts and much better then Fever Pitch which I bloody hated a middle class man needing therapy because of supporting Arsenal is such a load of w**k and brought the middle classes to football en masse especially to Highbury. The Fast Show spoof of the middle class Arsenal fan is because of tossers discussing Fever Pitch at dinner parties who jumped on the bandwagon Paul Whitehouse being a Spurs fan probably had a hand in it. The Football Factory came out in about 95 better book than film although the film was ok and made Green Street look like Citizen Kane. Can't imagine that book being discussed at a cheese and wine night and was although a work of fiction and about a hooligan the average fan could relate to it far more than a bloke having therapy and angst about Perry Groves contribution to the team. This is the sort of pricks who started going to football after reading Fever Pitch and one of my favourite Fast Show sketches.

Johnny B scored for us late on in front of the North Bank; cue bedlam in the Clock End and small pockets of Chels in the East (Main) Stand and West Stand. A few Arse close to us started giving it the big verbals but nothing else, not least as we were close the the Clock End and reinforcements were close by if it went off. Left to right in the photo: Erland Johnson, Kevin MacAllister, Johnny B, Peter (Carthorse) Nicholas, Judas Durie and King Kerry.

One of our very best days as Chelsea supporters without a doubt @Nibs Yep, despite all the success in the modern era, that season where we won promotion under John Neal and the following season in the old first division, remain some of my favourite CFC memories. It helped that we had a great attacking side, with Wee Pat, Kerry and Speedo excelling (and hardly an injury between them), but great atmosphere at The Bridge during that time - especially in the Middle of The Shed where we would have been stood to watch that 5-0 demolition of Dirty Leeds. My one regret is not going on the pitch at the end.
April 17, 20233 yr Learnt on this thread over the last couple of weeks we put in a bid for Joe Jordan at the start of this season. Wonder how that would have worked out....he wouldn’t have scored as many goals as Kerry. Couldn’t dribble or create like wee Pat. Most similar to Speedie- aggressive jocks, both good in the air, albeit Jordan probably six inches taller. I did rate and like JJ. Suppose his Scotland international career came to an end pretty much when Speedie first got capped.

Started in the North stand and managed to get in the East stand middle section at the end of the match for the celebrations.

As I recall Leeds didn't fill the whole North stand. The section closest to the East stand was Chelsea. This was the scene in the East middle when the players came out to celebrate with the fans.

Definitely no Chelsea in the Northstand that day Leeds smashed up the scoreboard so the old bill sent in the SPG they were sceaping up Northerners after that lot took no prisoners.

April 18, 20233 yr Remember the score board BH and Batsey with the megaphone asking everyone to stay off the pitch. I thought Leeds only had the centre sections of the North Stand that day. I'm certain they never filled it and there were gaps to the West and East stands, with the last section by the East Stand filled with Chelsea. I can't find any pictures though. I am meeting up with one of my BFFs at the weekend and he was one of the fellas there with me that day. I'll ask him.

You are right Leeds in the middle sections that was it couldn't have put us anywhere near them it was lively enough without us being in punching distance. The last section by the East Stand was what we used to call the last old man stand it was a pensioners terrace bit from about 1978-80 it was borderline cruel putting old geezers in the coldest part of the ground just for a reduced price 🤣
