Ahh the old Cock End pre 89 before they could afford a roof. At first i thought it was Wimbledon away 1989 when they only opened one turnstile for us, it was a roasting hot day and people were passing out. Alot of Chels climbed the corrigated fencing at the back to get in.

Thanks mate. Im trying to find a printer whos game enough to whack it on a t shirt for me. Old David Baddiel will not be happy

We'll have to get one for uncle Kenny he's only dozen or so seats away from him.

Blimey Jon there is some total bullsh*t in the writing below, some proper cyber warriors. Good vid and some good pics. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Henderson at Ipswich away late 80's, only a quick chat while having a light ale. Mickey Greenaway, legend!

Hi.  These 2 sites maybe of interest too Older Chelsea fans

www.rexfeatures.com.   Lots of pictures of Chelsea through the 60's and 70's. Many unseen I think. Just type in search: Chelsea 1966 for example. You can

also type in a players name ie: Peter Osgood and you get some good pics.

www.Aparchive.com      Some old newsreel clips. Similar to ITNSOURCE.COM.  Type in: UK Chelsea,  and you should get some of the clips.  On page 4

under SYND 5-1-72 Chelsea v Derby County Football Match, are the goals from the league Cup Semi final 2nd Leg at Tottenham Hotspur

when Alan Hudson got the late equaliser.

Hope this is useful to all.

Cheers mate, there's some quality pics on the rexfeatures site, just a shame Joe Public cant register to view them properly.

I was wondering if anyone had any footage of our 1985-86 milk cup game against Everton at the bridge. The game ended 2-2 and had to be replayed at Goodison, but its any video of the match at the bridge that i am looking for.

Hated Leeds and Billy Bremner with a passion,----

Many years passed and a grudging respect for Billy emerged. ( Not for the rest of the Leeds team though, or their fans)

Always in the thick of it, watched the cup final incident many times where he got kicked in the head by Eddie, sort of fiery Speedie character.

Got up and got on with it, incomparable with the players today that want matches stopped if someone gives them some grief.

not even a card.....Christ, could you imagine that happening in todays game?  If kicking a ball into someone's head could "kill them" I wonder the reaction would be like if something like this happened!

Dont think was filmed ive never heard it was or the replay sadly.

Best goal I ever saw Dixon score (and that's saying something) was in the replay at Goodison. He got the ball on the left wing, beat a player or two (while at full speed) cut inside and hit a right foot screamer from outside the corner edge of the area that curled around Nev Southall to just where the post and crossbar meet on the far right of the goal. All this while running full pelt. It was a stunning, stunning goal, one of those that takes the breath away. A real shame it was never filmed.

We won 2-1. Darren Wood got sent off if I remember rightly. Wasn't a great turnout, not many on the terrace, most were in the seats but we sure made some noise. We were giving it the "ten men, we only had ten men" over and over again. They were a damn good side, Everton, in those days but we gave better than we got. There was the 4-3 at their place in the league and the 1-1 draw later in 86 when we were on course for the title and they equalised with 3 mins to go. Good times.

.

Yeh that goal was blinding. The one he got at the Bridge in the first minute is one ive never seen. And the downer to that is that he dedicated it to me. Typical story of my life time.
