July 7, 201511 yr That away match against QPR...duries goal...chelsea boys coming onto the pitch...taking the piss at how the rangers fans celebrated earlier :laugh2:
July 7, 201511 yr niedzwiecki, clarke, dorigo, hazard, nevin,k wilson,durie,dixon....we had some really good players in that side
July 7, 201511 yr What was the original estimate of the new East Stand ? I have in my mind as £2.5m ?! Might be totally wrong That additional £1.5m was an unbelievably extra high cost back then. Still is a fortune to me today !
July 9, 201511 yr That was absolutely CHELSEA ERE CHELSEA THERE at Highbury that day.........5 star turnout all around the gaff
July 9, 201511 yr Does anyone else remember that the clock end was rammed before the first person appeared on the north bank and we let out a massive cheer taking the p*ss! Must have been a great view down at the North bank at how packed it was in our end. Still think the attendance was more then advertised. Tax dodges plus turnstile operators taking cash and keeping the peddle down so the counter on the turnstile didn't increase. Happened everywhere.
July 9, 201511 yr Top left ( the open bit of the north bank ) seemed to be all Chelsea and there were loads in the stand to the left as well, great day out after years in the wilderness. Anyone remember the night game a few seasons later (tony godden in goal), that was so sedate by comparison
July 10, 201511 yr Brilliant pictures and links on this site. Can anyone tell me how to post pictures via a hudl device ?....cheers
July 10, 201511 yr Kerry Dixon's famous goal against Arsenal! I got the top picture as my screen saver on my phone , We were every where that morning and to think it was 11:30 kick off . And what a great sight of us in the Northbank .
July 10, 201511 yr Ron 'Chopper' Harris holding the 1970 FA Cup trophy! Love that royal blue kit, the shirts are too light these days, see JT in the avatar
July 11, 201511 yr ^ Hard to disagree with you there mate but overall I don't mind both of them to be honest! The lightest ones I can remember was in the late 1990s when Gullit and Vialli was coaching us so the one you see in my avatar with JT isn't the lightest blue we've worn and frankly I actually preferred that kit from 2013-2014 to the one we wore this season. July 11, 201511 yr Bollox, we all know that we had no support until 2003.Haha, yes, what was I thinking ?In fact this might be the game that attracted a paltry 63,000 or so. Edited July 11, 201511 yr by shedupper3

Looks like a bunch of spivs and touts hanging around on the corner there. Great pictures of the days when we had no fans.
