I'm sure that there was an album made of our 1970 FA Cup win over Leeds. It was from the bbc radio match commentary.

There was an advertisement in Shoot magazine in the 1970s the company sold big match cine film and LP recordings of the FA Cup Finals and other major matchless. There might have been another LP with our 1971 ECWC win match commentary.

That rings a bell. I used to get Shoot as well.

I had that, actually still do somewhere. Not sure who did the commentary (Kenneth Wolstenholme?) but it was brilliant. 

After Webby's goal - "Away to my left is the most amazing sight you will ever see in your life. The whole of that covered enclosure is a moving sea of royal blue and white." Used to give me goose bumps every time.

Start of the League Cup Final in 1972 against Stoke.

Stoke City only major honour to date that 1972 League Cup victory over us.

And probably their only one ever, shame it had to be against us. Memories of that day a little vague now, but honestly cant remember seeing any Stoke mobs of 'lads'. Seemed to be all families there for the day out?.

At least we had the 'Blue is the colour ' Chelsea song recorded before that 1972 League Cup Final v Stoke City!

And i have that too!

Blue is the colour was one of the first songs I cam remember hearing as a youngster.

I remember singing it with my grandfather when i was 'helping him' in the garden.

I was 5 at the time!

I remember the Black Rose, my ex- will never forget it after the chorus of, 'Get your txts out for the boys'.

That was her first match.

A great atmosphere there in the 90's.
