Only won two caps for Wales. How many more would he have won if Neville Southall wasn't first choice?

Both Welsh caps were won away from home !

Norway in June 1985 and Denmark in Oct 87 !

Eddie was an ever present for us  during that season and only missed two League games in 1984/85.

He played 175 times for us before injury, sadly, forced him to retire

Another great John Neal bargain buy, From Wrexham in summer 1983 for £45,000.

    I'd forgotten Wrexham were in Division 4 when we signed Eddie from them in the summer of 1983.

    Mind you, lets not forget (as if we could !),:sofa: just how close we were to going down to Division 3 during the later stages of 1982/83 !!

    Eddie speaks very highly of John Neal, 'The Cat' and Neville Southall in that interview.

    Thought it was funny he and Southall were the central defensive partnership in their Primary School District Team :biggrin:

    Does look a bit Bono with a pikey vest. 

    No doubt left his rusty white pick up with no hub caps or road tax on a double yellow.
