30/05/1965 Chelsea drew with Australia World Cup XI 1-1 in a friendly

02/06/1965 Chelsea beat South Coast XI 1-0 in a friendly

06/06/1965 Chelsea beat Queensland 4-0 in a friendly

Found this match from the 1978-79 season. A bad season for your lads despite Peter Osgood's return. At least you beat City on a frost-bound Maine Road pitch. I'd forgotten that Duncan Mackenzie played for you.

That's an iconic shot, especially when you turned the corner into the forecourt on a night game and the East Stand was all lit up

A bad season indeed.

A really bad winter weather wise too Not much football played from end of December 78 to about earlyMarch 79

Asa Hartford the City and Scotland midfielder was always a non Chelsea player I liked back then.

If that's Archie Gemmill on the far left, playing for Birmingham City.

 Then this was on 8th Sept 79 at The Bridge and was Peter Osgood's last appearance for us.

I know that this has been posted before but one of my favourite pictures of the Shed. i think it's from the early nineties. There's a guy wearing a Rangers jacket.

I was at that game. At the time noone knew it was his last game, though. Bit like Lamps and Ashley Cole (and Torres and, er, John Swift) when they played their last game for us at Cardiff (which I was also at).

A ticket from the 1922 FA Cup Final played at The Bridge.

Pictures above are of a 1 -1 with Everton  in Oct 1961, at The Bridge.

Work on The Bridge terraces. It's being held up due to a shortage of steel, August 1965.

So the caption stated.

That corrugated iron fence on the right got pissed on a lot
