Richard P im very jealous....oddily the only ever ever  kit I brought was the 1981 home pin stripe,i still have it and still think it is a thing of beauty.

I'm pretty sure I have a programme with either the legendary Alan Mayes or Kevin Hales is wearing said jumper there's definitely a picture of Geoff Hurst and Bobby Gould with Sir Geoff wearing one.

There are games I can remember from the 70's and early 80's some I went to some I didn't but I don't remember this game at all. I do remember about 10 of us in the pub for QPR away in the mid 90's it got called off and we went on the piss

I was there for that and remember meeting up with the crowd in a pub and they were hammered and had been there since 3pm.

My friend stood on a pub table to sing a song and got drowned out by,

'Big nose, he's got a fxxxing big nose,..............'

One of those rare games where Furlong scored.

As per usual there fighting in the ground though not our part of it.

Bit of nostalgia for you. Away to W B A 85/86 won’t spoil the game by giving the result!!

playing in our all red kit for one season. We are the last game. Enjoy

Funny watching that as I had forgotten how subdued and manly the goal celebrations used to be. Kerry shaking player's hands.

A bit different: a model of the old ground. I remember seeing the model on display at the ground two to three years ago when they were presentations and discussions about the re-development of the stadium.

May be an image of outdoors

I was looking through some old programmes the other day for a picture of the jumper quoted on this page and there's a bit about redeveloping the Bridge in 1981. This was pre Bates and we were totally skint I really can't believe there was any intention of this ever happening. On a side note the programmes for that season were so thin very few pages. I'll try and post them but I'm not exactly Scorsese with a camera 😁
