Luton 1980 my first away game out of London I was 13 great and eventful day and of course a bit of Chelsea trivia Fillery scoring the first goal of the 1980's. Incidentally the trainers I think it's Ricky Hill is wearing pitch was rock hard there was ice on the terraces are known as McVicars cause of the scene at the start of the film an original pair would set you back about £800 now.

I went to that game. Remember walking past the home turnstiles and Luton were singing ' We don't rate you anymore...'

They brought a good few down late on 81/82 when they got promoted. I cant exactly recall what happened but it kicked off in the North Stand after the game had ended for some strange reason.

What was the year when we were due to play them away midweek, and it was postponed due to frozen pitch at about 4.00 PM; a car load of us had finished work early and we're on route when it came over on the radio?

The year it was called off I was still at school cause the only way you could find out officially was by ringing Luton up I remember being in a phone box with my mate when I said it's off he shouted down the line you're scared of Chelsea you Wayne Kerr's 🤣. Think it was about April 82 the game got rearranged for it was I think 2-2 I can't be arsed Googling it. There is footage of the 3-3 game it's on a news website like ITN I might have posted it before.

I've asked this before, but did anyone on here ever sit in the upper deck of the rickety old North Stand?

I remember the games against them more in 82 I went to the first one more than I remember this. We've got really good numbers here but we played them in 2000 I think we only had about 400 Chris Sutton even scored !
