July 6, 201313 yr I said 85/86 it went off in the corner but plod sorted it. Look on youtube when Chelsea get a corner where the chicken run meets the south bank you can see a mass of coppers that werent there eartlier. A mate of mine not at the game listened on radio and the words said was, in the corner it looks like the Chelsea fans are having a go at the West Ham fans. That must have been the game then. They came from the bottom corner and it seemed like half the end went in to them. A good mate of mine who I was standing with was involved so I remember it clearly as we didn't get involved much. Hated them with a passion.
July 7, 201313 yr I remember when Spurs teamed up with West Ham at Orient in 76, not too many left of them at the end of the game though.
July 7, 201313 yr Some of you may know that in the areas of Leyton Leytonstone chingford walthamstow, that i know very well, west ham n spurs fans integrate very well in the pubs where they live outside of playing each other
July 7, 201313 yr Cant remember the year but it was in the 70s that when chelsea went into orients west side, spuds n ham were together..Mostly locals from the surrounding areas...

July 7, 201313 yr 1976 at Orient Was that the game at Christmas (lost 3-1) ? If so it was my first ever match and I remember the pitch getting invaded (or was it a spill over) but had no idea why at the time.
July 8, 201313 yr Fillerywherearu...youve just reminded me..One of the stories ive related somewhere on these boards was the old chelsea discos in what was then the new east stand...remember a player strolling off with a lady i took...
July 8, 201313 yr I can't remember which game the wall came down at Orient, but think it was either the FA Cup 5th Round match in February 1978, which ended 0-0, or the August 1976 league game which we won 1-0 with a goal by Steve Finnieston. I've got a feeling it was the cup game. The wall didn't come down because of crowd trouble, despite what Orient's utter w*nker of a chairman said at the time. Orient's ground was a little sh*t-hole, and I'm surprised the whole place didn't collapse. There was huge Chelsea support at the game, and the wall(s) went when the crowd surged forward, as happened every week on the terraces back then. I was at both games, plus the 72/73 cup game where we lost 2-3, and West Ham always made an appearance on the terraces, but when they saw the amount of Chelsea there they generally kept quiet. July 10, 201313 yr West Ham left the North Stand early in the early 80's, my mind playing tricks. I was in front of the T Bar, they came up the steps to my right and piled into the middle of the Shed ... game anyone ?
July 10, 201313 yr West Ham left the North Stand early in the early 80's, my mind playing tricks. I was in front of the T Bar, they came up the steps to my right and piled into the middle of the Shed ... game anyone ? I remember them leaving the West Stand and then coming into both Shed entrances simultaneously, they got kicked straight back out of both though and nowhere near the middle. That was September 1984, we won 3-0.
July 10, 201313 yr Chelsea 3 - 0 West Ham I actually remember the off-field antics, more than the game itself ... We were in the Shed (middle) early doors. West Ham had a v. good turn-out that day & they continuously drifted in until they eventually more or less filled the entire North-stand terrace. The Shed End was packing to with great expectancy from all the lads around me. It was obvious, with such good numbers West Ham would try their party trick of infiltrating the Shed. Credit where credit is due ... they definitely tried ... but their plan to infiltrate the Shed went totally boss-eyed! As expected, West Ham were already silently amongst us waiting to make their move. But with approx 30 mins before kick off those directly below us got sussed and immediately started to twitch. A chain reaction immediately followed as a stream of Hammers hastily retreated down the steps. Chelsea tore into 'em from all sides. A couple of Hammers amazingly even 'pole-vaulted' the high perimeter fence to escape the onslaught ... several eventually left on stretchers. Witnessing the beating their comrades were receiving, West Ham's main mob immediately revealed themselves & piped up (they were several hundred strong, near the Bovril entrance). At this point, an equal sized CFC mob (immediately above them) steamed into West Ham's finest and forced them into the bottom corner of the Shed, near the Benches. A massive stand-off then ensued between the two opposing mobs until the Old Bill finally got their act together & intervened. A cordon was placed around West Ham and they were eventually carted off (at half-time) to the North-stand end. They were sent packing with the whole Shed singing in unison "You never took the Shed" ... which they 100% failed to do! As the first Hammers arrived in the North-stand others were still exiting the Shed end. There were that many of 'em, honest! I noticed that the numbers leaving were being enhanced by a constant stream of fellow Hammers taking this opportunity to reveal themselves and quickly slip away. I think it was Bill G & his lieutenants that stood up in the Benches also? ... so they were all there ... Under the circumstances, I thought the Shed did exceptionally well ... under attack Chelsea certainly held their own.

Under the circumstances, I thought the Shed did exceptionally well ... under attack Chelsea certainly held their own. West ham got taken out the shed up to the north terrace half time chelsea 0 west ham 1 80/81 but not chelsea 3 west ham 0 83/84. I was in the ground 1 hour before the game. The first west ham i see in home areas was the west seats they sang icf icf icf and loads in the benches panicked. not long after it kicked off in gate 13. I dont remember any agg during the game until right near the end a small but tidy firm of west ham came in the shed by the white wall and went where the fenced off bit was why west ham had come out the west seats and come up the slope as well. West ham did not come from the north terrace as they were locked in and kept in like all away teams were in them days. West ham that day bought what is said by many as the best ever firm to come to the bridge. Non bias west ham even admit Chelsea at times more than held there own that day epsecially outside but said they got the better everything weighed up. before the game west ham and chelsea both got run at different times. West ham had about 8,000 in the north terrace that day the gate was put at 32k impossible with the seats full and the terraces nearly full you could not get another 12k in the bridge that day the gate was deffo 40k the prog said expecting 40k.
