Just found out that my favourite shooter (one of the only fps games I really like) is getting a remake......XIII ?

That was an amazing game!

Man I loved that game, I hope they keep the same shaded style.

Ninja gaiden 2 is X enhanced too, it looks incredible. Still ridiculously hard though ha ha...

It really is though.

Find every location.

Complete every stunt.

Try not to died from the complete tedium.

I remember when large open world maps had a great story to go with them and things that made you want to explore.

I hated Ninja Gaiden and it hated me too. I remember playing Ninja Gaiden Black on the original Xbox, I got to the 4th level (I think) and quit and I haven't played a Ninja Gaiden game since. It was just too hard, I'm not really a hard games person.

Speaking of hard. I beat a boss on Sekiro last night that I'd been struggling with for quite a while.

I'm currently on an NG+ play through and hadn't fought him in my first play through. So not only did I have to suss out how to beat him I had to do it when he's even harder to beat!

Really enjoying the game. I don't think I've cheered myself out loud for beating bosses so many times on a game before.

Yeah, its infuriatingly hard at times, but man it was a great feeling when you finally beat something your stuck on.

Dayz Gone getting average/poor reviews. Shame, it looks brilliant. Will probably still end up getting it through!

Open world and Zombies, combining the two things that a lot of people have got a bit fed up with in gaming for now. I'm not surprised to see a lot of reviewers giving it average scores.

I don’t pay attention to ‘professional’ reviews, they’re usually too far up their own arses give constructive criticism or even worse are getting paid to be positive.

Just like with movie reviews I look to see what the consumer is saying.

I'm the same. I always say that if you listen to what the critics say, then you will miss out on the things you like. Plenty of my favourite games over the years weren't very well received by the critics.

It's why I like Steam reviews, you can get a good reception of a game from their reviews, you can't trust many game journalists or the 'professional' reviews as you put it.

And anyone played Tyranny? I just got it, it's good so far.

Console peasant here. One day I’d like to return to the pc master race. I know that doesn’t stop me checking out steam reviews though!

Oh sh*t yeah I forgot Days Gone is only PS4, BUT, a majority of games on console are on Steam so you can always check the Steam reviews, I think they're highly reliable anyway.

Some of the PS4 exclusives are fab though! They've got a good rep of good storytelling single player games.

The Last Jedi caused me lose faith in reviewers. I can understand maybe a few people loving but it got such overwhelming praise. It's hard to know if critics are so out of touch or if they're scared of upsetting the company that owns 40% of the movie industry but neither are good. Also getting a bit fed up people reviewing the subject matter, instead of how good the film is (hence all of the 'important' films that dominate awards nights despite tiny amounts of people having seen them).

For games, reviews are there to tell me that the game isn't a complete and utter disaster, other than that, it's other people's opinions, gameplay and if I like the genre/makers that really get me to buy a game.

Got the Sekiro platinum, was tough going. One of my proudest platinum trophies.

Bought Devil May Cry 5 and I’m pretty underwhelmed. I just feel like I’m button mashing my way through it.

I think as soon as I finish the story I’ll trade it in for Division 2.

Anyone planning on getting Rage 2? Looks quite interesting but I’ve never played the adage games before. anyone got any views on them?

Yeah seems to be getting decent reviews. I quite like combat and driving mixed together. Always been a fan.

Im starting to get to the end of Division 2. I’m at level 27 out of 30 so will probably quit after that. Been playing it for 3 months solid.

I'm playing rage 2 at the moment, it's a great little blast so far, very borderlands like which I love.

I was really close to getting Rage 2. Is it a good game? What’s the combat driving like?

I’ve just finished Division 2 which was good. Solid game. Now starting Days Gone.

The combat driving isn't great, but it's better when you change from auto centre. The gun play is bloody amazing though, very much like doom so loads of substance and feel to it.
