Metro exodus was really good, though a bit too cut sceney at times. The last part was back to the first couple of metro games, very atmospheric and scary. 

Curently having a blast on just cause 4, a nice little pick up and play game. Not really got anything to look forward to in the coming months. The Outer World's looks excellent though, made by the original fallout devs.

Not sure how I missed the announcement for this but THANK YOU! Early days of course but the launch video looked brilliant. Shame there’s no date yet but I’m really hyped about this game now!! 

Apex legends- help! 

I have played about 5 matches but I stink. No kills. Only once have I been part of a team who has won. Also, I find it a tad tedious. You spend about 15 mins running around looking for weapons/loot until the circle gets smaller. Then it's just a frenzied free-for-all at the end. You get shot, no-one revives you and that's that. Such a small margin for error. 

I suck. Advice, please!

Yeah it looks brilliant, back to when Fallout games were excellent, Fallout 3 and new vegas.

Where you initially drop will dictate how your match is likely to pan out. 

Drop early and you'll land in the same area as a lot of other players but then it's a mad scramble to find guns and ammo. You'll encounter others straight away but it's hard to survive because of the sheer numbers. 

Wait it out a while before you drop and you'll land somewhere quieter giving you time to stock up on equipment but generally your game is going to be much slower paced until your down to the last 4 squads and phase 4 upwards of the ring closing. If the circle is small and the game is getting frantic revives become a lot less common place. 

For every good game I have I'll probably have 5 bad ones, just the nature of Battle Royale games I think.

Original Modern Warfare the free game on PS4 this month. Can't wait to waste my life on that.

Been playing Devil May Cry 5, it's brilliant. It's currently my game of the year.

I already had it because I was keen to play it when they re-released it. Loaded it back up this week to have another go and wracked up 99 kills in a match on Shipment playing in a lobby of n00bs. 

If you keen on a bit of kill-whoring this is definitely the time to have a go.

Yeah i went on last night and everyone was awful, was averaging about a 3.0 K:D all night. There's a fun 'snipers only' lobby online which brings back the enjoyment of quick scoping, played a few games of that too. Imo this and Modern Warfare 2 was where COD peaked.

They were best COD games and I also quite liked World at War because they didn't over complicate the loadout systems.  

When they bought in the points system it all started to go downhill IMO.... Once wall running, jetpacks and special abilities came in I completely lost interest. Over-complicated the online matches. 

That and the killstreaks started to over dominate matches...Some of the killstreaks were really OP. It was pretty bad in MW2 but if you had a class with blind-eye and stinger rocket launcher equipped you could quickly counter them. 

Used to be best when it was X amount of kills for a certain kill streak. Now you can get streaks with assists and stuff. Call in a UAV and sit in a corner getting more streaks off UAV assists. Daft if you ask me.

 

WWII was quite good too. I enjoyed the War game mode a lot.

I've improved. I've killed one person so far. Progress! 

I've settled on using Bloodhound. Being able to scan the area for hostiles and see traces of who has been in an area recently is really helping me. It's how I got my one kill! Saw someone through a wall crouching in the corner, so stormed in and shot them in the face.

I started with Bloodhound, but found Bangalore to be the easiest for a beginner. I've unlocked Caustic now, so I've just been playing him.

Still useless though.

I'm only really looking forward to the Outer Worlds and Cyberpunk (which could be absolutely ages), it's a shame that single player RPG's are a dying breed at the moment. 

They're mostly falling upon the Indie devs now, all the AAA devs are completely ditching them and going for live service. 

Are any of you playing apex on PC, or all on consoles?

Yeah, cyberpunk is a given, looks absolutely epic. 

As you say single player stuff seems to now be an add on to online battle royale sh*te, which I have zero interest in. Shame really.

Oh ori and the will o the wisps is another game I'm looking forward to. 

FINALLY completed chapter 6 of RDR2. Brilliant  final mission and very dramatic. The game might be a slog but they finished it on a high. I’ve kept the game so I may return and complete the epilogue at some point. 

Picked up Division 2 this morning and just having a bash at it. Solid shooter, like it so far.
