I have no experience of modern games at all, nor of games consoles,  but it just seemed a bit pants to me, given how many of you in here were getting ejaculatory over it, in a sticky-ish way.

Also, I'm amazed that the cast of Big Bang are all Chelsea fans.

I still have the great 3 Clint Eastwood movies somewhere and Unforgiven, always had a soft spot for Westerns and this game takes it at the perfect time, when the Government were ending the outlaw days.

All westerns were corny though, the biggest Western movies are the Clint Eastwoods good bad and the ugly, fistful of dollars and a few dollars more and in those movies they were pretty corny despite some of the great writing. 

I think it's just how the setting is, it's inspired by all those Westerns. 

I am a huge fan of Clint's Westerns, and here's the bit that might confuse, those were FILMS!  Real people actually doing sh*t on screen.  The bits I've seen of the game, admittedly only the telly adverts, looked piss-poor representations of people and that was what I was asking about.  Didn't look convincing at all.  Not like the machine-gunners in DOOM.

I was just remarking on the trend for video games to have adverts that attempt to imitate film trailers but always end up coming across as a load of corny, derivative bollocks, and RDR2 is no exception to that. They'd be better off just showing some of the cool/fun things you can do in the game instead of trying to present it as the video game equivalent of Unforgiven.

The 'Man With No Name' trilogy are classic films but are over 40 years old now so you can't really blame them if they seem a bit corny...

Hmm I'm not sure, which one was it? I liked the trailer I think the story depth of Arthur Morgan is a classic tale, especially the whole Van Der Linde gang and how Dutch and Hosea raised him to be an outlaw. 

 Was it this trailer? This was just the launch trailer, nothing really in depth, there have been a total of 4 trailers, the first 3 had a lot more depth in them.

There's quite a few game adverts that are live action lately, I just don't get that at all. The new COD and fallout he's for exam. 

I’m going to rename my horse Andy Carroll because it keeps falling over and getting hurt. Also they look similar.

Nuketown - one of my most hated maps back when I played CoD  I preferred Battlefield until they got all up their own asses.

Nuketown is infuriating because spawn killing is so prevalent on it.

Come up a team that knows what they’re doing and you can set up spawn traps ridiculously easy.

Trying to get a perfect Buck pelt, it’s driving me mad! Had one in my sights yesterday but I couldn’t get a shot and then it just vanished.

Don’t forget, you can always chase them on your horse, lasso them then just stab them. 

Guarantees to maintain the perfect pelt and cuts out having to stalk quietly hoping the perfect shot opens up.

Go to Ringneck Creek, in the Lemoyne area of the map to find them. Scout from afar with binoculars and then shoot them with a rifle in the head. If you have dead-eye activated you'll see the red zone on their body- that's where to shoot. 

Or just do as @ForeverCarefree says and get them with a lasso instead and knife them

You wont be there long if its any consolation!

My combined bounty in all states is sitting somewhere in the region of $3k, maybe a little higher. This is having already paid off a bounty of over $1k in one of the states.

A lot of this was because having caught a legandary fish you have to take them to a post office to mail to someone. So I took mine into the town of Annesburg. Soon as I stepped into the post office someone recognises me due to my $600 bounty and they immediately pull out their gun and start shooting at me. 

So I drop my legendary fish, kill the two guys in the post office and this is when I noticed, there is no law in Annesburg... The entire town is hunting me. I run out of the back of the post office, take cover behind a pile of wood and proceed to gun down a dozen or so local residents. They just keep coming so I jump on my horse and flee out of the town with several residents in hot pursuit. I spin my horse around and drop my pursuers from their horse with my volcanic pistol... bolt back to the post office, gunning down a couple more residents on route. Get to the post office, retrieve my legendary fish and flee the scene of the few remaining locals. This attempt of a simple transaction in the post office more than doubled my bounty for the state. 

I'm pleased to say I managed to post my fish at a neighbouring railway station, so all's well that ends well.

I don’t get how you people have these massive bounty’s everywhere! My boss is the same while here I am with no bounty and sh*t loads of cash! Maybe I’m not badass enough

I mean, I make a regular habit of walking into a general store pistol whipping the clerk and taking the contents of his till... So I only have myself to blame for my bounty level. 

I finally got a buck, now on to my new nemesis - the rabbit 

I’ve put hours and hours in to Red Dead just trying to get 100% in the game (not even all the trophies) and my god it’s a tedious ride. I’m at around 96% now but it’s a proper grind, I hate it when developers do this sh*t just to drag out their games.
