Am enjoying Coldplay, I have to say, performing fantastically well.

It's been a pretty good Glasto so far! The Gaslight Anthem were immense, Biffy Clyro their usual awesome selves, really loved Mumford & Sons too. Didn't see U2 yesterday though, can't stand them.

When Bonio is pontificating during numbers I cant stand them either but boy did they put on a show last nite.

No one I like plays these sort of televised festivals :( I enjoyed The Who when they played it but after looking at the line-up I don't know many of the acts anyway...!

u2 still the best live band, no question...last night proved it...as for coldplay, they make 'nice music', but not in u2's league...and since i switched on chris martin is wailing quite painfully...bono, for all his faults, didn't miss a note last night while singing songs spanning the past 30 years

A very dull Glastonbury this year. Coldplay are bad enough but U2 ? They really are starting to look their age and Bono (or God) needs to stop singing other peoples songs off key in-between their numbers! There is also a new evil - and their names are Mumford And Sons. Id also like to congratulate Jesse J on giving the worst out of tune performance i have ever had the pleasure of seeing, anywhere.

Primal Scream as always looked great, but BBC decided to show us 2 songs only. Instead i got Bono doing a karaoke version of 'Movin On Up' . At that point it was time for bed. Hows about someone with a bit of edge or character for 2013 Eavis ?

Oh and judging by what im seeing on tv the percentage of H&M hippies with trust funds in the Glastonbury crowd this year looks to be topping 80%!

U2 were appalling as usual, Bono being his usual twattish self. I dont normally coldplay but I thought they were superb last night. Elbow were outstanding, but then I love them so might be a bit biased. The beeb ignoring Primal scream was a disgrace as you said. Mozzer was poor too, was hoping for some brilliance from him. One who blew me away was Janelle Monae's, she was brilliant. TV on the radio were pretty good too this afternoon.

Forgot to mention Moz , I only saw 3 songs and i was gutted - it didnt look his best show, his voice sounded a bit shot if you ask me. Still more passion and edge than Mumford and Sons or Coldplay will ever hope to have though.

Missed The Gaslight Anthem too, im sure they were good, always reliable.

QOTSA tonight, could be worth a view once ive tidied up from the bbq!

Bugger, didnt even know they were on.

People keep saying that, but I have my doubts. I was going to see them on the '59 Sound tour, but their tour van was robbed in Sweden and they missed their gig in Helsinki. They did come back to play a few months later, but I wasn't able to go then. Someone I know did go and said that they sucked that night. When they announced their gig last year, me and some friends of mine thought we'd want to see it for ourselves. We all felt that Chuck Ragan should've been the main act that night and we didn't even bother to listen to Gaslight Anthem's encores, because we'd seen enough and just wanted to beat the rush and get out of there. I was so disappointed in their performance that I didn't feel like listening to their albums for a few months. It was THAT bad.

Watching a rerun of Paul Simon on BBC4 red button thing - it's fantastic stuff.

Certainly better than Pendulum anyway...

Christ, talk about a tough choice. Currently on bbc2 and 3 thete is beyonce warbling away or the streets. Thank god for kool and the gang on bbc4

u2 haters :JC_doubledown:

by the way i don't think their music over last 10 years has been as good as first 20 years and bono can be a bit of a nob at times, but their music still stands out, especially live..

just switched on and kool and the gang are sounding good!!

I agree that glasto was a bit of a mish mash, grabbed some, thought coldpay were ok,wanted to see some Radiohead,bt alas no,so had to settle for regulars the "chemics" awsome visuals, and a real feelgood atmosphere when they play.

Don`t really like Glastonbury, Only went once, To see the mighty, Specials, Can`t stand Bono spouting his Global warming rubbish, Whilst flying in on a private jet.

Showing some Queens of the Stone Age on BBC2 right now, absolutely immense. They were superb at Reading last year, they sound even better here.

I saw QOTSA at V Festival a couple of years back now. One of the best live shows from a modern band I've seen, actually perhaps the best. Of course The Who are well in their 60's and they were on another level entirely. It's little wonder Townsend is deaf.

At a U2 concert, Bono walks to the edge of the stage and claps 3 times. Then, he says "Every time I clap, a person in Africa dies."

One member of the crowd shouts back "Well stop f**king clapping!"
