This is an interesting one - I went for Cole in the end simply for consistency over the two halves, although I did consider Anelka. Hilario had a decent game as well.

I didn't think anyone was really deserving of MOTM but i'll give it to Ramires.

Easy - Hilario for me. He'll never be as good as Cech, but he's proving to be a very decent back up keeper and kept us in the game today.

I've thought about this, but not too hard, and in the end gone for the obvious choice, Hilario, not only because of his saves that ultimately kept the three points safe, but because of all the ridiculously over the top stick he's been taking from certain people ever since the news of Petr Cech's injury.

Went for Hilario, shoved quite a few peoples words back down their throats.

Tough call. I thought Torres played well today, but unfortunately he didn't manage to score. Bosingwa started badly, but really improved after that. His set up for our 2nd goal was great. Mikel looked really good, just like last game. I can't believe someone whos father is kidnapped can focus like that on football. I'm impressed.

But my vote has to go to Hilario. Many have criticised Hilario, saying he's not good enough to be backup at Chelsea. Well, today he proved that he is. Couldn't do much on that first goal and I feared that letting one in so early would be a blow for his confidence. Instead he made a couple of great saves and looked solid overall.

Ended up voting for Nico. He missed a couple but he was always dangerous and looked our most likely to score.

Hilario was solid just as I thought he would be. Once again proving his doubters wrong.

I voted Malouda, since when he came on, the game changed. Hilario played well, but did not do anything fantastic. Bossy was a close second.

You do realize that he made the incredibly poor pass that led to WBA's goal, do you?

Unfair IMO, considering that was mostly on Alex. And Ramires was fantastic when the rest of the team was turgid.

Ash, Mikel, Ramires & Hilario were our best players. My MOTM goes to Ash - world class player.

I think that has more to do with how poor Kalou was rather than Malouda doing anything outstanding. Kudos to him for getting on the score sheet but a long way from being a MOTM performance.

Perhaps so, Nibs, but he did finish off the nice cross by Bossy, which I am afraid others on our team would have found a way to not score.

It wasnt so much the finish, more the fact he was in that position that I was happy with. Kalou rarely gets that far forward off the ball and its one thing Malouda does extremely well is his movement into the box.

Really disappointing performance all round. But one or two did OK and I went for John Mikel Obi. A BRAVE and workmanlike performance at a very difficult time for this young man !!!
