May 13, 201214 yr Saw this today: All of that mumbo jumbo was posted last week. However as Liverpool aren't 7th what is the relevance ? Also we don't intend losing.
May 13, 201214 yr That is eerie. No it's bollocks, both sides have a chance next week but do you really believe such crap ?
May 13, 201214 yr All of that mumbo jumbo was posted last week. However as Liverpool aren't 7th what is the relevance ? Also we don't intend losing. Nor do we - which could give Sky's viewing schedule a problem. By the time it gets to 131 - 131 in penalties, Drogba and Lampard will have both retired from football.
May 13, 201214 yr No it's bollocks, both sides have a chance next week but do you really believe such crap ? Not really, but the coincidences are pretty amazing.
May 13, 201214 yr Nor do we - which could give Sky's viewing schedule a problem. By the time it gets to 131 - 131 in penalties, Drogba and Lampard will have both retired from football. We're thinking of calling up Kaiser Franz for the defence. One thing is certain, it will be a very different Bayern to the team that turned up and rolled over for BVB yesterday. The players know they let down the club, the fans and themselves with their dreadful lacklustre, unmotivated, disinterested performance yesterday. They know they have to put that right on Saturday.

Pretty much the same as us in terms of our performance against Liverpool in the league. Your cup final result was a bit of a shock and your defending when Dortmund broke was shambolic. It seems impossible to believe that you could play that badly again this Saturday however your defensive frailties will certainly give Drogba hope.

May 13, 201214 yr I would love to see Beckenbauer out there. I am sure he is in good enough shape physically.
May 13, 201214 yr Strange thought having every Arsenal fan in the country spurring us on Can't see it myself Brim mate, i know a few and they will be rooting for Munich without doubt. Do you really think them or the Spurs fand will want us to be the first London club to win the Champions League?
May 13, 201214 yr Yep i take your point of view .I was thinking in terms of us keeping spurs out only Edited May 13, 201214 yr by Brimstone 2
May 13, 201214 yr I think that both defences are very suspect, it could be a game with both sides having plenty of scoring chances. Ours certainly is due to the players we will be missing. What our back four will be remains something of a mystery for now. Cole and Bosingwa will obviously play but where they play and who plays alongside them is anyone's guess. I am going on the assumption that Cahill and Luiz will not be available and we could well see four full backs in our defence. Either that or Drogba has to play at the back, something your defence would be delighted to see!

We've heard it so many times before, a couple of years ago Rooney was apparently on life support then suddenly there he is in the starting eleven. It's all gamesmanship, Di Matteo knows they will play, whether they are match fit is another point entirely, we have the same problem with van Buyten.

Either that or Drogba has to play at the back, something your defence would be delighted to see! I really think 1 of them or both will make it. I am worried about their sharpness though. They wouldn't have lost fitness in that amount of time due to the time of the season (beginning of the season they would have) but will they be ready for the sharp turns and jockying though, i doubt it, but i don't think we have a choice than to play them.
May 13, 201214 yr Neuer; Lahm, Boateng, Badstuber, Alaba; Schweinsteiger, Gustavo; Robben, Kroos, Ribéry; Gomez Bayern Munich team that lost 5-2 to Dortmund in the German Cup Final yesterday ! this should fill us with loads of confidence heading into the CL Final !!! Come on Chels !! Edited May 13, 201214 yr by TorresRightBoot
May 13, 201214 yr saw very brief highlights on the fox soccer news, they were comprehensively beaten, word of caution Dortmund won the league so are no muppet team, however Bayern's defending was very poor in allowing the 5 goals, included the players who are suspended for next Saturday so don't know if it will make any difference Dean Sturridge was commentating on the match today and said that he spoke with Cahill before kick off who told him he will defo play next Saturday, but Luiz is still a bit doubtful, if those 2 are fit we will have half a chance, besides which I like Chelsea being the under dog it has served the team well all the way to Munich
May 13, 201214 yr David Luiz was running around on the pitch today, and gave piggy backs to some of the kids. I'm pretty sure he's not injured and he'll be ok
May 13, 201214 yr Based on what they have been saying on Sky Sports it appears very likely that Cahill will start but Luiz is more 50 50.
May 13, 201214 yr This is coming from goal.com so no guarantee they've got it right. but apparently the referee is expected to be a Portuguese chap who goes by the name of Pedro Proenca. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1716/champions-league/2012/05/13/3100907/portuguese-referee-pedro-proenca-reportedly-appointed-for?

May 13, 201214 yr Sorry for the misquote but THAT would give me confidence lol If only. I hope any of our Portuguese/ formerly Portuguese based players haven't pissed Mr Proenca off in the past. Then again most of them won't be playing.
May 14, 201214 yr Judging by the team yesterday, I believe RDM has his 11 starters figured out. Long 6 days, can't wait. I have the feeling destiny is on our side this time!
