Chelsea v Shakhtar Donetsk (CL) 7/11/12 KO 19:45 GMT

I know RDM will play Torres but I think this is prob our strongest line up available atm.

Cech

Ivan, Cahill, Terry, Cole

Mikel, Ramires

Oscar, Mata, Hazard

Moses

Moses is not a centre forward I'd start with Studge

Why do you pigeon hole players, it seems to be a trait round here, we have lots of players who can play in different positions, just take a look at where Franks playing these days.

Centre forward is a hard position to play, Moses is a winger, you don't play players out of position unless you have too. Also why are u saying it like I do it all the time?

No I don't think you do it all the time, but we see it all the time on here.

Imo Moses could play the cf position because he has pace, it's something Torres hasn't got nowadays, and I think that's what has done his game, and Torres know's it, virtually every time he gets beat for pace, it's another kick in his teeth.

But Moses can give that feeling to the opposition defence, that feeling of defeat, knowing your beat. Defenders are not scared of Torres, but they would be sh*tting bricks if Moses was running at them with the three amigos.

Stick Gary Cahill up front and let him do the Duncan Ferguson, smash in a few headers as he loves to do.

I can't see Torres sitting on the bench for this one. Shakhtar really worry me, they are tidy little outfit and play some quality football. We will be at the Bridge but we will need to be at our finest to get full points. I think we just edge it, 2-1.

We do not have a good enough option at CF, we let the drogs go and put ourselves firmly reliant on Torres, and that appears to be a rather huge mistake.

1-1, we are not deadly enough to finish a side of their quality off imo.

I think he could play that position, he's strong, fast, direct & skilful (for what its worth I thought this before he signed for us). He also links up well with our 3 magicians. Something Torres does (but has no confidence), but I don't think Sturridge is on their wavelength

I do agree that in the foward department we are not looking our strongest. In my opinion Torres is not the striker we need to bring home more silver. We need a striker who can create goals from any situation. RVP,Falcao,Ibra, Džeko. I hope we get something done when the market opens up. I don't feel it's quite so bad as your making it out to be though. We have got results against United,Arsenal,Tottenham. We very well could have gone on to win the match against Juventus and even vs Shakhtar we had some clear goal chances that could have ruined their impressive performance. We are a different beast at home and I think we can get the result. Why not start Danny?

Suppose it worked for Henry when he went to Arsenal

I assume this is the team which will start?

As others have said a must win game. Reminds me a bit of the Valencia game last season in the sense that so much is riding on it. Obviously the circumstances are different as that was the last game of the group and was essentially a play off however I feel the result of this game will as good as dictate our fate in this group- a win and we are fully back on track and can draw at Juventus and everything is comfortable, anything les and I struggle to see how we will progress.

I feel we will control this game much better than we did over there, we will surely perform better that a fortnight ago all over the park however we will still be vunerable on the counter attack without doubt and the pace and accuracy of their passing combined with the ability of their attacking players means we can easily be punished. in relaity a one goal lead will never be enough in this game, I can see us conceding at some stage so much like the Valenica game I hope we get an early goal, get the crowd rocking and push on from there. The last thing we want to do is get a one goal lead and then sit back and invite pressure for the rest of the game.

I honestly think we can and will win this game- but I predict it could be a pretty uncomfortable and nervy 90 odd minutes.

The crows are important for this one. Shaktar are the away side and they need to feel like it, let's get them on the back foot, get the Bridge nice and loud and score early and put this one to bed. 3-0 like Valencia and everyone goes home happy. Apart from Shaktar and their fand of cousre :-)

Must win game.

The team will be lifted by a hopefully rapturous fans reception and will surely do the business.

If not, we can stop singing champions of Europe with immediate effect!

If it was not such an important game I would love to see :-

Cech

Ivan, Cahill, Terry, Cole

Mikel,

Mata, Ramires Hazard

Torres Sturridge.

Just to see if our front two can play off one another, beings they are both having a torrid period at moment
