Posted May 15, 201311 yr I'm going to watch the match in fulham tonight with some mates. Is anyone else? What pub are most people going to?
May 15, 201311 yr I hate watching Chelsea play in the pub. People just get in the way and want to chat the whole time.
May 15, 201311 yr I hate watching Chelsea play in the pub. People just get in the way and want to chat the whole time. Definitely. I hate it. I remember it was about 2008 or something and there were a group of Chelsea fans slating Drogba saying we should get rid of him. I haven't watched a Chelsea match in a pub since. Additionally alcohol is sh*t and it turns most people into complete dicks.

I disagree I have slept with many beautiful women under the influence ........... Regrettably they didn't all look the same in the morning as they did under the influence .... May 15, 201311 yr The price of a pint now days means it is probably cheaper to buy a ticket than it is to watch the game in a pub.

Been about 6 months since I was there. A pint is about £3.70 - £4.25 in Belfast, total rip off. Edited May 15, 201311 yr by Zola

Your lucky to get a pint for under £4.00 in most places which is ridiculous when you consider you can buy a create of 12 beers for about £9 in most supermarkets.

Its a bit of a catch 22, the government moans about people buying big carry outs and getting leathered at the weekend, booze Britain etc... yet they seem to do nothing to help struggling pubs who can do little but ramp the price up. May 15, 201311 yr I was considering heading to SW6 for the game but probably gonna go for the cheaper option and watch at home.. Would be Goose if I do end up going anywhere to watch it though.

May 15, 201311 yr Author I may try and stay close to the station/bridge, but will see what everyone thinks about the goose. Cheers for suggestions
May 15, 201311 yr Brogan's for me. Not expecting the special atmosphere of May 19th 2012 but should be jam packed and buzzing all the same.
May 17, 201311 yr So where did everyone end up? I started in the Lillie then the Goose, the Goose was all ticket but the landlord knows me so let us in, we had certain faces turn up later on followed by Fulham plod ffs. It wasnt too rammed but busy enough to make a good atmosphere. I dont remember leaving the pub & got in about midnight.
May 17, 201311 yr Was thinking of the goose, just as well we didn't as didn't have tickets. Ended up in our local, plenty of room and good banter. Top result!!!! ( was secretly depressed about not getting to the dam :( ) Champions of Europe! Twice!!!

I like the goose had a lock in and a bit of a BBQ in there after the Leeds game when they got relegated.. The landlord is sound pity he's a Liverpool fan. The Lillie is ok it's handy if you gave a few youngsters.with you pat and mary would leave them in. I also like the elm on north end round always meet nice people for a chat in that pub. Down around the ground is sh*t.

To be honest mate i think they relented on the all ticket situation as the lads that turned up later would never have tickets to get in as their not allowed in the area on match days so wouldnt have been able to get tickets.
