Im a neutral when it comes to the premier league but considering a decent wager on Chelsea to win it this year look to have the best squad and a manager to utilize it now. So come on then guys and girls what do you reckon will be the starting XI on the first day of the season? Lukaku set for a starting role? Terry and Lamps back in the mix? Lots of questions to answer.

You may be right but I'd suggest from the media reports so far that torres will start as number 1. Jose keeps talking about him needing competition which tells me he sees him as first choice but a couple of bad performances and he won't be afraid to stick lukaku in there.

Maybe wait and see what happens in America?

I already wrote that the reason I didn't include him, is that he probably isn't going to be available against Hull.

Was only listening to Talksport yesterday and a newspaper journo was on there saying Mourinho is very keen to shift him on, especially if we get Rooney, but there are no obvious takers.

 

As with any football journos musings you can choose to believe it or not, but listen to the radio, or read a newspaper, and many in the media are making similar claims.

 

Personally I don't think Torres will go. Not because Mourinho genuinely wants him stay and sees him as part of the long-term plan but because no-one is going to give him anything like the deal he has with us.

Why are people listing Mikel? 

Just thinking about the opening day is getting me excited. Obviously the friendlies in the US will give a better idea of what Jose has in mind, but the strength in depth we have is superb.

 

On the assumption that Azpilicueta, Mata & Torres are unavailable on the back of their international friendly, I'm going to say:
