A Great Decade

Featured Replies

Did Roman actually say this? Where did it come form?

If so its a nice gesture,  we hear so little from the man who has given all those great nights

Makes you wonder, what does the next decade have in store?

I'd be over the moon to see us win a few more titles, reach ten in FA Cup wins (Ten Times, what a name eh?), and another European cup.

It seems as you get older you can go a few more times!  :comeandgetitff:

3 league titles, 2 league cups, 4 FA cups, 2 community shields, 1 Europa league, 1 Champions league. I would say that is pretty good

Definitely, I read somewhere Jose's back to bring the good times, I thought if the gap where he left was the bad times then wow lol

Yeah...but we`re not as attractive as arsenal. :coffeespit:

I'll say one thing, it's been emotional.

Sod it, I'll say another: the lack of a single manager in that collage is very, very telling.

Still, things could be worse; we could have a leech-like Glazer type figure at the helm, or a spendthrift Levy. I'll be content with Roman, for better or for worse.

I've been critical of Roman's methods in the past and I still feel that he should have greater communication lines with the supporters, but at least he's acknowledged the first decade of his ownership to the fans.

If he does stick around for another 10 years, I just want stability, more success and Jose to be there for the long haul.

If we count José twice and include Ray for his one match then Roman by now had 11 managers. How would you field them as a team?

Yeah, the keeper is the Special 1 for me too. I'm not sure about that defence though :)

Your weakest player should always go at right back, at least that's how the saying goes, and three of that back four were all defenders in their playing days.

The midfield is self-explanatory, as is Bobby D up front. Jose mk.1 must have picked up a fair few tips on goalkeeping from his father and Jose mk.2 can lead the team from the other end of the pitch. Villas Boas, well, Vilas Boas is just there. For no good reason. Perhaps the typical number 10 stereotype is a slightly arrogant maverick with an individualist streak, so I'll go with that as an explanation.
