You would have got some if it was worthy of an intelligent reply, the truth is we have been through this weeks ago and the mere suggestion that Mata would be involved in a swap deal with Rooney is utterly laughable and that fact that twitter is the only source of information makes it even less worthy of an intelligent reply.

 

Nothing against you, it's just a stupid rumour that isn't worth speaking about.

Sorry I can't be bothered to make an elaborate and well studied reply to a joke of a topic. Not dissing you or this post at all, but you can't expect a literary masterpiece as a reply to a rumour from twitter of all places.

They talked about this on talk sport on the way back from game  on sunday but they also said Ush*ted would have to stump up another £10 mil , Cunday has mentioned it over the weekend too . 

It's never going to happen. It's a wetdream created by the manure to try and stir sh*t up. They seriously think we'd pay them AND give them Mata for Rooney?

The original 'inside info' was that either Mata or Luiz would be included in the deal. The club even released a statement on it. Mourinho has said it a good amount of times himself: Noone is for sale.

If you choose to trust twitter and rags over our manager and club it's your choice. I'm not losing any sleep because of these rumours.

Either way I wouldn't listen to it, as I said before, we went through the annoyance that this rumour even existed and the worry that there may be some truth in it weeks ago but since then both Jose and Mata have said he isn't going anywhere so there's no point in thinking about it, it's all rumour, guesswork and just made up rubbish.

Back on topic - if they swop the gorgeous young Juan for the pudgy old Wayne, I shall be spitting teeth!

If you think about the deal there is only one winner there; UTD. They'd get one of the best players in the league to feed the league's best striker and get rid of a problem player from their point pf view. Chelsea would get a great striker BUT would lose their best player over the two seasons and a true gentleman and a man who is loved over club boundaries.

In theory it would solve both teams main problem but we rely heavily on Mata and ManU can live without Rooney...

Ignore everything you hear until September the 2nd. I'd rather we didn't sign Rooney if it means the possible loss of Juan.

 

I can't even begin to imagine why we'd want to improve their terrible midfield. They will be found massively over the course of this season.

Hi Clubhappy, a bit like yourself went off the site for a while because of all the sh*t that was being thrown around at posters here. Now dare you have a different opinion to anyone else, or post a rumour that people don't like. Site seems to have been taken over by posters who don't seem to be capable to accepting another's opinion without a load of insults or just trying to demean them. Signed back in a few weeks ago hoping things may have settled down a bit with the start of the new season and Rafa gone. We live in hope.

Clubs are now becoming much more savvy when it comes to online social media, I wonder if some of these rumours could be emanating from the clubs themselves. Transfers are becoming more and more a battle of wills with clubs using common media to there advantage, I wouldn't be surprised if they have progressed to using sites like twitter.

It's only a twitter rumour I know but I think that we need Rooney more than we need mata to improve the team and they need Mata more than Rooney to improve theirs. Would be a really bad move for us though considering age, wages and just plain likeability, and Mata teamed up with RVP would be just scary.

Considering Utd are the ones that started the original rumor about him being offered, it wouldnt be surprising at all.

 

Honestly, the club should have reported them for that. A bid was put in behind closed doors, and then Utd turned around and made it public and tried to unsettle two of our players. Pretty pathetic behavior.

 

Anyway, this rumor wont die until Sept 2nd, guaranteed. But I am hoping Mata single handedly destroys villa on Wed and shows the whole world why its stupid to even talk about selling him.

If Mata is allowed to leave, I will lose all faith in the club.

 

It is unfathomable that a player, who has been our best player in both seasons he's been here, could be sold, when he arguably isn't even at his peak yet.

It makes no sense whatsoever. If we get Rooney, great, if we lose Mata, it's rage time. I refuse to believe the club could be so stupid...so if it happens, it'll be a gigantic kick in the balls.

I really cannot see it happening, there's no way Jose would want to upset the fans and the balance of the team by trading off our player of the year for the last 2 seasons, the potential reward isn't worth the risk as selling someone like Mata is one of the few things he could do to turn the fans against him if it doesn't pay off.

I think because we all like Mata so much and we've only just got rid of the Man Utd rumours the thought them popping up again is just annoying and infuriating, don't take it to heart, silly season makes people crazy when their players are the ones subject to a bid.
