Matchday six and the last of the group stage matches. We're already through but a win here would see us atop the group. I expect more than a few changes from Jose in the starting 11 after the Stoke fiasco.

I wouldn't be saying it about any league game, but a game against a team already knocked out of the CL at home who we beat 4-0 away?

This is about as confident as I get for a football match.

i feel the same about the league cup tie as well

in the last 3 games combined we conceded 7 shots in total on target all of which resulted in a goal

Shouldn't really need Mata and JT but you never know, could always taken them off if we are winning. I would like to see Kalas start but I think Dave's performances have warranted him playing in his favoured role so I don't know, I would be happy with either. Schurrle to hopefully carry on his recent form and KDB to start because he needs it. Ba's movement trumps the others so he gets the nod for me.

What's Schürrle's injury status?

I think the more games "we can play to try and get some sort of system working" the better. We will turn it around at some point and if that means losing to Steau and going out of the League Cup to do so then so be it.

Depends who is fit really but we should start seeing some changes in mind with recent displays.

This is what I would like to see not what I expect Jose to pick. 

 

Cech needs some time off to reset, no reason for JT or Lamps to play this game after so many of late. There are some injury question marks over some people so if Luiz cannot play put Brana at CB. I do not know the injury status of Kalas and Omerou but if either are fit I would have them on the bench and would consider one of them starting, possibly Kalas for Azpilicueta since he has played a lot of games in the last few days.

 

If Oscar is not fit bring in Essien, if Schurrle is not fit start Hazard.

 

Like I said not expecting this side, but we need a side good enough to win and to rest some of the squad now we are in the busy festive period. Jose needs to start figuring out the right 11 to face Arsenal and Liverpool.

Agree with this, we dug ourselves into a hole with the poor display against Basel so we need the three points here to guarantee top place. I would rather avoid some of the top teams in the other groups in the round of 16 as we don't know which Chelsea side would show up to those games.

If our squad players cannot help us get a result at home to Steaua then they have no justification of being in our squad in the first place. 

I think we should rotate a bit here. Bring in De Bruyne, Bertrand, Essien, Ba and Luiz if fit.

Hopefully Luiz is fit so JT or Cahill can get a rest.

I don't understand why some fans persist on Oscar playing deeper, it's not going to happen when will people understand!!

You are most likely right about that and there is probably as good a chance of seeing Ryan at LB as Oscar in a deeper position but hey we got to live in hope.

Im pretty sure Omerou wasnt selected in the Champions league squad,neither was Essien.
