March 30, 201610 yr Just got response from Chelsea FC web administrator regarding Salah, "Hi Michael, Thanks for your mail and apologies for the delayed response. We have not sold Mohamed Salah, he is still a Chelsea FC player currently on loan to Roma. Kind regards, Web Support" It's weird because I was 100% sure we sold him last October. Maybe it will be official in summer.
March 30, 201610 yr Yeah I was of the impression that the Salah transfer has been agree'd and will take place at the beginning of the summer transfer window I would imagine this is for purely book balancing reasons. However with Salah nothing is sure we had something similar agreed with Fiorentina and that never panned out, so it os still a waiting game I suppose.
March 31, 201610 yr Will give us some bargaining power if rumours of our interest in a couple of Roma players is true. Edited March 31, 201610 yr by chef
March 31, 201610 yr If he could finish he'd be world class. As of right now he's another sterling, fast and can dribble, but couldn't score in a brothel. The thing is though, finishing can be improved and I wouldnt be OVERLY opposed to him coming back as a squad player, considering our apparent inability to sign anyone above the quality of Papy, Pato and Baba
March 31, 201610 yr He's not coming back. He'll be permanently transferred at the end of the season. Thankfully.

March 31, 201610 yr He's a good player but not enough for PL. He's good enough for the PL just not for Chelsea.
March 31, 201610 yr His end product is awful. Never going to make it here. Edited March 31, 201610 yr by MayosNoun
March 31, 201610 yr And did someone mention Sterling's technical ability? Sterling is awful. Absolutely terrible and cost 50m. His end product is brutal; he has no left foot and I don't think I've ever seen anyone mis-hit as many shots as he does. Always scuffs it wide or skies it over the bar and when he gets to the byline - his crossing is atrocious. He just has not improved at all since his move to City.

Always scuffs it wide or skies it over the bar and when he gets to the byline - his crossing is atrocious. He just has not improved at all since his move to City. Believe it or not, his finishing has improved. He's matched last seasons goal tally in far fewer games for City. His ball retention has also got a lot better, doesn't lose the ball as much as he used to. I don't think he's awful at all, it's just the instructions he's receiving and the system employed by Pellegrini don't make the most of his abilities. He's making Sterling play things safe and using him more as a finisher (Probably why you remember so many of his poor shots) rather than a creator. Compare his performances in the CL where he's given the freedom to stay nice and wide and take on players, he's looks a completely different player. This is why I think he will benefit greatly under Pep as that's how he likes to deploy his wingers.
March 31, 201610 yr He's also surrounded by better players. The jury is still out. If he doesn't improve under Pep, then he will never reach the levels required.

Perhaps but it's widely agreed that those better players have underperformed baring KDB and Fernandinho so it evens itself out in the end. I would agree with that.
