It was said in the nearest and dearest thread that the ref was awful tonight, for BOTH sides.

As a Chelsea fan I think we have the right to hate Barca more than anyone but this Uefalona bull sh*t is just getting stupid now.

 

The only bad thing the referee done was stop Barcelona from scoring more goals.

We weren't robbed at the Camp Nou, it was the Bridge. I wont forget that night in a hurry. we'd have won the Champs League that year

How about the penalty that should have been given to Barca in the 1st half? Or the disallowed goal? The ref was sh*te, no argument, but there was no bias involved.

Over the two games Barca had two goals wrongly disallowed and should have had a penalty tonight. I think this ref was just inept rather than corrupt. He was no Ovrebo.

But it was 50/50 with decisions today. City got lucky when Lescott clearly fouled Messi in the area and then a few minutes later Barcelona had a goal ruled out for offside when they were clearly on side. There was no bias today.

I swear to god that referees in football need to wear speaker head-sets so they can inform the fans why they have made a decision. 

They do it in American Football... Basketball... Rugby... Why not football? It eliminates contentious decisions and will make fans understand what's going on inside a referee's head.

 

Also, it would get rid of bullsh*t stories like the Terry racism row, the Mikel racism row...

They do it here in the NRL and it's a complete joke that solves nothing apart from pander to the desires of self-important fans

 

Fans should harden up and learn to respect the decisions of the referee as final.
