Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

If you're more concerned with telling your story rather than being fair and honest around events, you have an agenda, plain and simple.

It's not a hard concept to grasp.

Jose said Redknapp had a duty to be fair and honest and he was right.

Enough is enough.

Collymore blocked me from twitter over the Ashley Cole choc ice saga.

Collymore showed his true racist self by pointing out that Ashley should remember his roots, I asked a simple question if he should also remember his white roots, that was me gone!

So a leading Sky pundit, Neville, and the BBC MOTD host, Lineker have both called for Costa to not be banned. Surprised they haven't been ordered to do the opposite in this bias against Chelsea...

Savage has also said it can't be proven.

There's some interesting battle lines forming on this.

Media lock-down on our end.

Gary Neville and Gary Lineker on our side.

Collymore, the woman beater, and every enraged scouser/emptihad supporter on the other.

This case could set a major precedent.

Costa claiming he was not looking at Can before the challenge and if you look at the replay, he isn't. That could be crucial.

You may have noticed they've gone against the trend.

Nobody has said we live in North Korea.

There will always be dissenting voices but we're talking about the media as a whole, or in general rather.

Neville does not fit the prototype, in case you haven't noticed.

Edit: Now, what do you think of Neville's stance, and can you answer why it hadn't been asserted before?

I would love for Neville to be right and to see Costa avoid a ban. I want Chelsea to win on Saturday. And not sure what you mean by that, he's given his opinion about it the day after Costa was charged.

I never really had a problem with Gary Neville as a player during his lengthy spell at United, neither did I against Lineker despite him being a former Spud.

Also, to be fair, Jamie Carragher admitted that Liverpool fans cannot really complain as Suarez was much more of a repeat offender.

It's not totally 'the world against us'.

Also, god damn, just noticed this from Michael Owen.

Even though I thought Diego Costa knew what he was doing and could avoid treading on Can and Skyrtel, I think its pretty hard for The FA to prove either challenge was a stamp as both were movements he would have made if a player wasn't near him. I'm sure they will just ban him without an explanation even though that doesn't seem right.

And not sure what you mean by that.

Neville clearly feels a ban would be unjust, what do you think?

Do you think his position on the matter is outlandish, the workings of a mentally-unhinged man?

If not, why do you think such a position wasn't put forward on Sky, or in any of the main news outlets or newspapers yesterday or today?

I mean, if there's no agenda, why would such a reasonable position not be put forward, at all?

Edit: Seems slightly odd to me.

OK so I'm going to weigh in with just a small observation. Sky sports main page has the Costa story running with the tag lines

Henry : Costa crossed the line

Analysis : Controversial Costa

Mourinho fined

No real balance from Sky in my biased eyes but where is Nevilles 's opinion ? On the night Paul Walsh and Cascarino both said it was no more than a yellow, where is their opinion ?

Sky have their villain and their minds made up otherwise there would be balance.

A few mindless idiots tweeted racist abuse to him, so he then called John Terry a racist and called our fans racists, he's a complete fool, yes we are all racists Stan..racism is something that I hate more than anything, but I guess I must be a racist too, he should know that the real Chelsea fans wouldn't want to associate themselves with these racist morons. I hate racism and I can't imagine what it's like to revieve racist abuse, but there's no need for him to stoop to such a low level, but he's always been a first class biased t*at.

Collymore now laying into JT.

Probably because Neville is in the minority. I think Costa probably deserves a ban. I know I would be clamouring for one, as we all would here, if it was the other way round and a Liverpool player did it.

Haha seen it all now, some bookmakers have released a photo of Costa called body of evidence, bleacher report UK tweeting it.

Oh deary me even the most level of us have to ask ourselves questions Shirley ??

Neville's position is entirely sensible. He's a very sensible and fair-minded man. He's in the minority for a reason, because people want to see Costa get lynched when there is no justifiable basis for a ban, none whatsoever, as Neville points out.

If s Liverpool player had committed the offence there wouldn't be the same public clamour, and this can actually be backed up with facts.

What's he saying?

He's such a w**ker!

About racism.

@StanCollymore: A minority of Chelsea fans, I know who I’ve been and more importantly who I am now, we do know what some of you have always been though. JT.

Now he's laying into us and Rangers haha!

He's like a child haha

Think of Stan Collymore and two words spring to mind: Dogging & Ulrika. It's beyond me how that muppet has the front to get on his high horse about anything given his history.
